Hey @PeiCarl & @getNothing, Love the unique design of Nothing phones! Here’s a feature idea that would be perfect for the community: "Lyrics Screensaver Mode" 🎵 A built-in option to display real-time, synchronized lyrics on the screensaver when music is playing (Spotify, YT Music, etc.). It would be: •Minimalist & stylish – perfect for Nothing's aesthetic. •Great for listening sessions, parties, or just personal enjoyment. •A signature software experience no other brand has. Hey, that’s a cool idea but wow, it’d be tough to pull off! Everyone uses different music apps, so making it work with all of them sounds like a headache. Plus, there’s all that copyright stuff—lyrics aren’t easy to use without the proper permissions. If Nothing really wanted to make this happen, they’d probably have to team up with apps like Spotify or YouTube Music. Definitely not a quick or simple job, if you know what I mean!

Not all languages can have a live transcript plus, API for want exactly there are like tons of music streaming apps, NOTHING should have to collaborate with them or if they don’t there will be a legal issue.

AnikethPani why don’t the make there own music app and do what Spotify do get musicians to post on their own music app and then it will be legal but the problem still is the software and get musicians from Spotify and yt music and this could get expensive really quickly

Why? When they give them the API to display the lyrics on the home screen not - nothing don’t collect the data or something like this

@hamid0ali Well this doesn’t get expensive but the competition in the music segment is high. Half the people don’t know what NOTHING brand is, the main problem here is why would they leave their playlist when they have a fan base on Spotify and yt music. It’s a bit complex to explain I will share an example related to this shortly

You guys should introduce a music player like nothing gallery atleast. Also a Nothing files app will be much better.

Nicouschulas here the issue is with music apps giving permission for API. They usually ted to copyright it and this issue is no where related to privacy or data collection.

TBH…. It sucks, not everyone is gonna hear to english music. There are other languages too sooooo. Plus lyrics sync wont be possible…..

AnikethPani Yes, most of the songs I listen to are in other languages too…
But I guess Google is working on adding more languages.
Regarding synchronization, I’m not sure I completely understood you because the subtitles happen in real time.
