Yes exactly that’s what I am talking about , you itself said that all these features are there on os lollipop 5 but why they hadn’t given this old features to us I didn’t mean that samsung had invented this feature but they’re also copying yes accepted but what are the other features developed by them

why we need to go back to settings and then network and then connected devices rather than simply swiping up notification panel to see this little thing

BenedictRafael That’s my main gripe with Nothing OS, yeah. I agree with that (just not with presenting how Apple invented all those things because they really didn’t), and I’ve been asking many times for those but then you have a resident forum/community troll explaining each time how everything is unnecessary of that because it would slow the system down, like having a visible clock on a light/white lock screen. I’ll link soon when I get home to my PC.

Yes ,I also have reported many Complaints and suggestions on improving the os through systems feedback option like this one and changing lock screen clock fonts and colors of it as we set a wallpaper in quotes or our favourite ones picture the clock colour is been annoying me and it’s good that we have access in changing the position of clocks; maybe they finally would bring this updates on os 4.0 specifically this is requested by every community users

Anonymous931 Again, is suggesting to get better clock options anything bad or “not liking NOS”? Because currently we literally cannot use light/white background because we cannot see the damn clock then. Or why is Nothing OS pretty much the only Android OS around that doesn’t let users to place third-party widgets on the lockscreen? Also mentioned in the vid. I was able to do that on cheap Redmi phone with Android 12 MIUI 13 back in 2022 (including seeing a damn clock with lighter or white backgrounds), so why is that a bad thing to suggest here as the guy did? 🤷‍♂️

Removing online searches (as HAVING AN OPTION to disable them) from the app drawer will slow NOS down?

Or having visible clock on the lockscreen with light/white backgrounds?

Or having vibration without sound(s)?

Or having no in-app camera lag, AKA better camera app optimisation?

Or having a toggle to enable true-black dark mode?

Brightness slider available on first swipe down (instead of second) is also going to slow down NOS?

Remapping the Essential Space key would slow it down?

I mean if you think that any of those would slow the OS down then - lol.

Anonymous931 what I meant to say is that Google/AOSP/Android is not copying something from others when that already exist(ed) in Android, for many years at this point.

Example would be - why is there no volume slider in Nothing OS in the control panel/quick settings? But there is once you press any volume button! Why does a Flashlight only work on or off, why can’t you press and hold it to get a slider pop out and get adjustable brightness strength? All those features exist in Android by default, it’s just Nothing choosing to remove them for some reason.

Or this dumb crap - why does WiFi tile only work in 1×1 or 1×2, why can’t it be as Bluetooth tile 1×1, 1×2 or 2×2? (resizable in One UI, Hyper OS, Pixel OS, even iOS which is not Android at all… everywhere but in Nothing OS 🤷‍♂️)? I mean look at it, lol:

Actually I can keep going with this, I’m like a broken parrot at this point, just asking why EXISTING Android features - and they exist in Android since literal 5.0 Lollipop in 2014 - are being REMOVED from Nothing OS, but no answers. I mean it takes more time and effort to remove something useful than to let it stay, but we’ll see what’s coming with NOS 4.0…

Os 4.0 ,Yeah that’s been most awaited moment for me from the the day they announced because nothing is been different from others in some aspects like their widget and folders redesign but as you said that why they are wasting time on removing such good things if android rather than put it as it is; thanks for also taking time to repost the things and sharing it in community, it would be nice if nothing developers takes their time to see what really the users need

I find it curious how people want to blindly copy Microsoft (Vista, 7) and now Apple (Liquid Glass), but they are vocal against Google’s style, lol. The grass is greener on the other side…
