I have been experiencing an issue with my Nothing Phone 2A Plus for quite some time. I use the YouTube app and the YouTube Music app, both of which I have a premium subscription to. When I listen to music via the YouTube app and put the app in the background, the sound temporarily cuts out for a few seconds but continues playing. Then the sound resumes. This brief silence causes me to miss part of the song or other audio. Similarly, if I just minimize the Twitter (X) app and go to the phone’s home screen, the same thing happens: the sound stops temporarily. However, when I return to and close the Twitter app, this issue does not occur. This problem appears to be exclusive to the YouTube app. When I use the YouTube Music app, the sound doesn’t stop when I run it in the background directly, but the same problem occurs when I switch to Twitter. Also, when I listen to offline music, the sound does not stop if I background the app, but the same issue appears with Twitter. I have reset the phone for two consecutive days. After each reset and initial setup, testing the apps with songs shows no problems. However, the issue reappears after completing the setup. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the YouTube, YouTube Music, and Twitter (X) apps, and I’ve tested both with and without updates, but the problem persists. I am providing some videos as proof. This issue has been happening for about a week. It’s not only me—I’ve also discussed it on the forum and the Telegram global community for Nothing Phone 2A/2A Plus. Many others have started experiencing the same problem this week; it was not present before.
