Possible features for the TALK button in the Ear (3)

Hey everyone! So the design for the new Ear (3) is revealed, and first of all, I'm in love! But second of all, they are showing the new Talk button on the case of it all. [upl-image-preview uuid=4e326e95-972e-4c76-a713-70c77e292eb2 url=https://cdn.nothing.community/2025-09-11/1757593853-369647-screenshot-20250911-162251.png alt={TEXT?}] I do have possible theories for what the TALK button means though: 1 - **Essential Talk** - could be an AI feature meant to work with Essential-enabled Nothing devices (3a and later), like an AI assistant, or translator? 2 - **Activating default assistant/ChatGPT (Android only)** - A way to make talking to your assistant easier 3 - **Customizable button** - highly unlikely but it could be customizable so that it can open different shortcuts, like turning on Adaptive Noise Cancellation or something Either way I am very excited for this new release! **EDIT: Customizable button is impossible as I have checked. Thanks for clarifying!**

Karim Azmy NOTHING is not big on customisable buttons, see ES buttons. So, I think (3) is out. As an aside, I remain pleased that the live translation on the AirPods is blocked in the EU as I would like to know where my voice patterns are being sent (hopefully not to the US for deconstruction/translation, given its current administration).

NTL needs to be careful with the flip2record as they could easily run afoul of the same EU-based legislation. (I am unsure which jurisdictions the flip2record is offered within currently.)

Karim Azmy at my guess, something like connected with Essential Space on a phone. Like long tap on it to say something of remind to do something and it will automatically go to the space.
