NothingGalleryapp hat gerade 144 meiner versteckten Fotos ohne Spur ausgelöscht. Diese waren keine zufälligen Aufnahmen. Einige waren wichtige Dokumente, die ich für meine Zukunft benötigte, und einige waren die einzigen Bilder, die ich von meinen toten Großeltern hatte. Sie sind weg. Ihre App verfügt bereits über einen Stapel von Fehler und kaputten Funktionen, dies überschreitet jedoch eine Linie. Sie müssen eine Möglichkeit haben, meine Bilder zurückzubekommen, und Sie müssen mir sagen, was es gerade ist. Dies ist nicht nur ein kleiner Fehler. Es ist ein kranker Versagen von Ihrer Seite, der nur etwas Kostbares ruiniert hat. Es scheint auch, als wäre ich nicht allein hier. Warum haben Sie eine ungetestete App auf PlayStore veröffentlicht? Sie haben besser eine Antwort darauf, dass Sie krank sind. Die Menschen veröffentlichen seit März in dieser Community über diesen Fehler. Es ist 7 Monate her! Anonymous931 i meant Gallery Go. That’s the one I’m using. Thanks man but it ain’t helping me right now. I need a fix for my current issue first.

SpeedMirage Try data recovery software. Do it ASAP before overwriting the space where they were. Then stick to Google photos and it also has locked folder.

Wish- Have you tried any of these recovery softwares? I have tried recuva already on my pc and it can’t do recovery over USB. Any suggestions?

SpeedMirage All modern Android phones use file-based encryption, so direct recovery of deleted files is impossible from a PC even with root access. Your data is 99.9% surely gone, unfortunately.

SpeedMirage Dont know if it’s allowed to take names over here but it’s okay, happy to help. Recuva used to be very good in it’s early days with 80-90 % of recovery (not for Android). Try some from Play store one is Data & Photo Recovery, I don’t know how it worked for me once in 2024 or you can try Dr. Fone also. Tough I am not sure how useful it is with free version. Do some research before going with the paid version. In such situations, a SD Card can be a lifesaver, but unfortunately, that option is being removed from most phones. Thanks to Apple. I have been through this situation twice in my life, and I can understand how it feels.

Nothing yet. Sent an email with the details to the Gallery app devs and heard nothing. They haven’t responded.

SpeedMirage I agree with you, it’s absolutely crazy this can happen. When using app you hope that some brutal bugs like that are fixed very fast. I can be a big problem in real life. So yes you have to make backups for important things and if you drop your phone on the river your photos would have been lost too. But here it was lost for … nothing… because of Nothing who did nothing since the first report.

Stereobasic I temporarily hid these images in the app two days ago. I had planned to back them up but was too busy with work. I would have backed up all of them in a few days.

That’s not the point. It’s not my fault. Why would these sick psychopaths release an app without testing for bugs? I’m not their fuckin guinea pig

SpeedMirage Just for future reference and as a recommendation - use Files (by Google), so the default file manager, to hide what you want. It is absolutely flawless, not a single problem with it and you won’t lose your data either.

SpeedMirage Okay, they must be false claiming then. Try the other one which I have mentioned tough the chances are very less especially with free versions of any data recovery software. Also if you are planning to recover and those pics are really precious (I am sure they are) then I advise you to use your phone as less as possible or use some other device. Your deleted pictures are still there in the disk but it’s really hard in present versions of Android. Contact some technical guy if you know in person.

They are there, that’s true, but file-based encryption exists in Android since Android 6.0, and all data written to a phone is encrypted with a unique encryption key. When that data is deleted that key is removed and data becomes irrecoverable. Getting deleted encrypted files back is actually possible but it’s not possible to decrypt them without that previously mentioned unique key, so everything potentially recovered would be random scrambled stuff.

Wish- just the ones that are already in the gallery. It didn’t work at all. My pics are gone man. I’m still waiting for an explanation from the Nothing devs. They did NOT respond.

SpeedMirage They should acknowledge this serious issue by behaving responsibly. First of all, this should not have happened in the first place. Also, this is not a new bug, and many people have faced this issue. If you feel that they are intentionally ignoring this serious matter, you should definitely tag them on X. Here, however, I’ve noticed that even tagging is not allowed.
