Glyph Interface - New Features?

Despite of so many empty promises nothing didn't deliver any new features around glyph interface for Phone (1) and (2) Now that they have shifted away from glyph with Phone (3) i doubt they will think about any usage enhancement for the glyph interface. The easiest and low hanging fruit is implementing the progress notifications with progress glyph but i doubt they care anymore. If you are someone reading from community representative, atleast try and take it to the highest possible so that we (non Phone (3) users) feel heard.

AbiS_MjZL72iTVk I’m saying that you can expect whatever you’d like to have. I think it’s unrealistic. The CMF1 is a perfect example of your point. I knew going in there’d be 2 years of A updates and 3 of security. I also knew that the camera software would be much worse than GCam, which it was. I don’t find that to be the case with the NP3 as there’s more profit buffer in there to pay developers. Saying that, I find the average usage on the CMF1 and NP3 to be nearly identical for 90-95% of what I do with my phone (communicate). The cameras and media consumption are different. If I gamed, it wouldn’t be quite different as well. However, one has to expect that at these price points, or? (I expect very little GM support outside of an SDK as the profit margin on the NP3 isn’t high enough to pay tons of developers.)

For the Matrix, what would be great would be if they offered a way to be able to play with the diode and chemical “engines” (and display the animations according to our wishes). It’s really a part that is pleasant to look and to explore. It’s a very nice works they have done here. I wish there was like a Glyph composer that works with the GM engines.

Try glyphify, they are very good. Yes it cost a bit but not much.

You have glyph progress, a better essentials glyph (you can pick every light strip with every animation), battery charging animation and warning for every phone and more

As a purchaser, did I really expect NOTHING to sign deals will all of these other firms to make the phone more useful after purchase.

They don’t need to. Glyphify for example also made it. I find your reasoning really bad, I understand what you mean but comparing it with a pen makes no sense in my eyes.

Nicouschulas I’m simply stating they’re all tools/devices to be sued and it’s up to the enduser to get the most out of them.

Just opened my eyes.. i wonder why do any phone even have a firmware.. like isn’t it the responsibility of a user to flash a rom, get the required apps and then use the phone? Maybe users should just code their own apps, just like you need to sharpen the pencil yourself right?

Nicouschulas tired that app but the main problem i see with these apps is i don’t feel very confident with them.. they will not be efficient with battery, reading my data, maybe even have bugs..

With an OEM doing the same thing will be efficient with battery and sound to user about data protection.. also things when integrated are always more user friendly

I’m not asking a long list of features that won’t make any sense, but the progress notification turned to glyph progress will be bomb to have.

Ant-e-so-shial just expected a new feature centred to glyph lights every major release.

Don’t want to feel like these light on my phone’s back are a gimmick.

It all depends on there vision for (a) series phones. If they decide to stick with Glyph Lights for (a)s while Glyph matirx being exclusive for flagship line-up then in future slowly Glyph Lights will still be relevant at the least.

If Nothing totally ditches Glyph Lights for (a) series too, then it’s game over for Glyph Lights.

GauravSingla_nA1CbnUH8f yes, the enduser should code their own apps. That’s what I expect with the GM and the NP3. Did anyone really expect a huge amount of functionality out of the GL on the previous Nothing phones as take up was so small but other apps. There’s even an SDK. I’m sorry if you’re simply lazy and can’t/won’t learn to code.

Stereobasic nah, this device is a hackers paradise an I’m excited about it and everyone should learn to code to just simply use it properly, rather than demand that NOTHING comes up with a bunch of gimmicky stuff to do with it.

I’m very excited about it!
