So my thoughts so far. Its nice. Needs more new features.
Would love to see new status bar icons for Wifi, Network, battery, etc. The current icons are very outdated. Most brands have updated to newer more efficient icons. Would love to see something similar to the Pixel icons. Or at least allow us to scale the size of the icons to make them a little larger without affecting the rest of the UI.
Something is still weird and bad about Phone 3’s speakers. They sound extremely tin-ee. Literally no bass. Not sure what it is but they sound terrible. Poweramp helps to boost the bass. Idk how noone else has noticed this. Compared next to my other phones like the Pixel 10 Pro XL, Oneplus 13, S24 Ultra the speakers on the Phone 3 are the worst but I honestly think it could be improved with a software update.
Would like to see more haptic feedback in the UI. Widgets still seem like they can’t be resized properly and are still suited and designed for a 4 column home screen and not 5 column. 4 column looks too huge and cartoony for me and not user friendly. When using the 5 column ui layout widgets have so much wasted space.
Would like to see smoother animations with better animations not just the fastest animations. What OnePlus is doing with Oxygen OS 15 is pretty remarkable even Samsung and Google have really stepped up their animations. I know Nothing can do much better, their advertising animations in ads is top notch, even the animation when you press the essential key is crazy good, would just like to see opening and closing app animations improved.
We need a Nothing Playground app.
We need a Community Forum app.
Would like to see better clock widgets on the homescreen and more and better widgets in general. I feel like the 3rd Party Nothing Style Widget collections on the play store are better than stock Nothing Widgets.
The AI Wallpaper image generator is nice, BUT it’s severely lacking options. Would like to see a lot more choices because I really love that feature.
Would like to see more Glyph Ringtone and Notification animations. Maybe even another generative style choice over the 2 choices.
Would like to see more Lock screen customization, Nothing is severely lacking vs the other Brands. Really would like to see the lock screen clock have the ability to hide in front of and behind objects on the lock screen wallpaper like Apple and other brands do.
Love Essential Space and what it offers. Love Love Love Nothing using the Essential Brand again. I was a massive Essential Phone nerd and a first adopter.
We really need more cases guys. Especially a Rugged option. I’m a huge fan of Poetic Cases, would love to see some rugged options from them like their Poetic Guardian case or the a rugged case from the brand Tudia like their Merge case. Maybe a 1st party rugged case option from Nothing? Nothing is a Design company too, let us dress up this beautiful phone but add rugged protection!
Would like to see a larger range in haptic strengths also. More options! Maybe even some different feels in vibration.
Kind of would love to see a Nothing Styled version of Apples Dynamic Island for Notifications.
Would be great to see a Glyph Lights Style Notification on the front screen that flashes when a notification comes through.
