From the very beginning, many of us requested an extra dark mode for Phone (1). Since it has an AMOLED display, this feature makes complete sense. But even after 3 years, we still don’t have it.
Now with OS 4.0, the feature has finally arrived — though it should have been there on Phone (1) from the start, just like other competitors had back then.
Nothing promised 3 years of updates and delivered them on time, which we really appreciate. But along with big updates, small features like this should also be added. These little touches are what users wanted from day one.
I know there’s zero chance of getting such a feature now, and I also understand the reasons. Still, some of us continue to use the OG Phone (1), and we always hoped for these small refinements that match the hardware’s true potential.
