flo_rahil It is really impressive and Kudos to your work. Although, I think two things that could be altered:
- I know the reaching for the notification panel settings to toggle or adjust the brightness slider and I see that you’ve given an option to switch panels for quick access. Though it’s convenient, I see this can become confusing where if one forgets to switch the panels or one has to do continuously to do that.
Reason: Notifications to be the first priority and that should be more reachable than the buttons. Not a big fan of notification and settings panel separate too.
I just want to utilise the existing panel by taking it to the next level. So we all know when the notification panel is opened, first 20/25% of the screen shows the quick settings toggle and then notifications. Upon expanding it we see only the expanded quick settings toggles. So, if you observe closely, the bottom 30% is just blank except for the gear icon and power off icon.
So I say, what if we move those quick settings to bottom, that is top 30% gives you information about the Date and time along with weather/upcoming events and data usage(optional), probably all these bits could be customised depending upon how many tiles or how well it fits and then you can stretch these quick action buttons towards the bottom part so that one can reach action toggles easily.
- I’m not sure about the notifications of the gmail you posted are ungrouped intentionally or not. But personally, I feel the current Android notification grouping is pretty straightforward and ease of use.
