Settings suggestions keep stopping on Search in Settings

The Attached screenshot of setting suggestion prompt is coming continuously after few minutes. I always factory reset after an update like this. Same issue happened to me. I factory resetted and now its fixed. Most of the bugs are fixed after the reset for me

After updating Nothing 3a to OS 4.0 , I can’t use the search option in settings. When I open it suddenly close the option. I think it’s a bug. Please fix it.

There are multiple threads about this already, one pinned to the top of the main page, including a temporary fix;

The issue is known and being investigated by the team

In the meantime here’s a temporary fix:

Go in Settings -> Apps -> Show all apps then search for “Google Play Protect Service” -> 3 dots in right corner and Uninstall updates

im not sure if that would work or could posibebly brick the playstore/phone here… personatly i would wait for an update to come out since i think its the OS thats buggying out here.

I’d rather wait for an update, since they’ve already said they’re looking into it. This post has about 140 replies so far, and I don’t want to risk my phone becoming bricked/void the warranty because of a minor glitch, for everything works perfectly on my 3a except for the search bar here so far.
