On the Phone 3 with the beta I didn’t see the icons change

Grigius same. I’ve had the same icons on the CMF1 3.0 to 3.2 and NP3 3.5/4.0.

I can’t remember the 2.6 icons on the CMF1 but Gallery was out around the same time as the NOS 3.0beta.

Edit; also, I haven’t seen Lock Screen Peek or whatever it is on the NP3?

Interesting, it seems to be an iterative beta update, curious to see if it goes to all NOS 4.0 betas, I would assume so.

How is this different than showing an image as a wallpaper already? What’s really new, are there notifications sneaking through simply as text or like news suggestions? Weird, I don’t see the pro/con/difference to now really and simply disabling notifications.

I guess the argument is that it won’t be disable-able in the future and will have to be removed/inactivated with ADB.

IN my previous post , I very stupidly criticized Nothing, which was entirely my fault.Today all 3a devices got a new beta update Glimpse which has a similar function as glance (ads on lockscreen) thank you Nothing this was a much needed feature
PLEASE IF POSSIBLE ADD MORE BLOATWARE , I LOVE ADS , thats exactly the reason i brought a device that advertised its clean software, right now its an optional setting , please make it permanent on every device. THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT THE COMMUNITY WAS REQUESTING FOR A LONG TIME, MORE ADS!!!!

For a long time I have liked a clean software with no ads, and thats what Nothing swore by when carl pei started Nothing and I’ve always liked their software even down to their cheapest phones. BUT… with the new lockscreen glimpse, Nothing has added ads into the software. I and many people don’t want an advertising campaign on their phone. I will not update to andriod 16 if this becomes mainstream and move to another andriod brand like oneplus instead. you have made this brand image in your advertising, now swear by your advertising.

Have you read the changelog? I don’t fully agree with this feature, but soon we’ll be able to put OUR photos. Let’s not be catastrophizing.

I still don’t get it why is this suddenly bloatware for some people around here, and that Wallpaper Studio (literal definition of a bloatware) isn’t, lol.

Anonymous931 In my understanding the big problem with this feature is that you actually DO NOT CHOOSE with photos are selected (at least initially). Also if true, this has no potential use case except ads, whereas Wallpaper Sudio fits a real need (and is not so bad at creating wallpapers, community even made a thread about this). But maybe I’m wrong, and in this case yeah no problem

Anonymous931 Personally, I wouldn’t consider that bloatware as it’s an option tucked away within the OS.

Bloatware is usually the preinstalled crap that’s either manufacturer branded duplicates of existing native Android features or third-party apps that you can’t remove.

So there are currently default/stock wallpapers, they will soon be replaced completely with your own photos/pic. You choose what you want to have displayed and if you want at all. Instead of having one image on your lockscreen you will be able to have as many as you choose (say nothing but photos of your own dog for example). And people are angry and furious because of that, somehow…
