Critical Bug: Calls Fail Immediately (VoLTE Issue) — Mobile Data Works on Nothing OS 4.0 Beta
Hi everyone,
I’m experiencing a severe issue with cellular voice calls after updating to the Nothing OS 4.0 Beta. While mobile data works perfectly fine, I am unable to make or receive any standard voice calls (cellular calls). Outgoing calls fail instantly, and incoming calls do not connect
1.Specific Error Description
Outgoing Calls: Dialing a number results in a “Call Ended” or “Mobile Network Not Available” message.
Mobile Data Status: WORKING. I can browse the internet, stream video, and use data-reliant apps.
2.Troubleshooting Steps Already Taken (and Results)
Rebooting the phone: (Result: Did not fix the issue)
Toggling Airplane Mode: (Result: Did not fix the issue)
Removing and Re-inserting SIM card: (Result: Did not fix the issue)
Resetting Mobile Network Settings: (Settings > System > Reset options > Reset Wi-Fi, mobile & Bluetooth) (Result: Did not fix the issue)
Checking VoLTE Setting: Navigated to Settings > Network & Internet > SIMs. The option for ‘4G Calling’ (VoLTE) is either missing entirely or toggling it on/off does not resolve the issue.
VoLTE Status: I do not see the VoLTE or VoWiFi icon in the status bar.
This bug appears to be a flaw in how the beta update handles carrier-specific VoLTE settings. We need this fixed as a high priority, as it disables the primary function of a phone.
Has anyone found a permanent fix for the VoLTE provisioning post-update?
