I’ve been using version 4 since its release on my 3a phone, and here’s my experience:
1. The Settings app constantly crashes, even when you’re not in Settings. The search in Settings doesn’t work; it just crashes after 1-2 seconds. (As I write this post, the Settings app has crashed three times already.)
2. Why make the media session notification narrower than regular notifications? It’s still a notification, and there’s no need to adjust its size to fit the quick settings panel. It looks terrible.
3. Previously, when you pressed the handle at the bottom of the screen to call up the circle to search, it would decrease in size. This was a better response, because you could see that you had pressed it. Now it retains its size and you can’t tell whether you hit the target or not.
4. The pop-up window icons are still too large. If possible, it would be nice to add the ability to change their size in the settings, or at least make them slightly smaller. Also, the animation for opening a window from an icon is too long and unclear: first, the icon disappears for a while, and then the window takes an incredibly long time to scale up and loses transparency.
5. Why remove the quick settings resize button? It wasn’t in the way. Now, to change the size, you have to click on the setting first, and then on the resize button.
6. The camera and gallery icons look bad, they are too simple
7. The first notifications lose their rounding when opened.
What’s missing:
1. Please add more customization and personalization options, such as the ability to not have to open the settings panel twice to change the brightness.
2. NORMAL VIBRATION SETTINGS. Why does vibration stop working in most apps until I enable touch response? I don’t want to feel a sharp pain in my hand every time I exit an app or press Back, but I do want a SMOOTH response when I press keys on the keyboard or in the browser. This is sorely missed. The current minimum vibration is terrible
3. Icon settings, especially in the monochrome theme, the icons themselves are too small. selves are too small. selves are too small. selves are too small. selves are too small.
What’s improved:
1. Pop-ups - This feature is much better than before, and the addition of a second app has improved the experience. Visually, it’s much better.
2. Filters and widgets. More features are always good, but when these features are also well implemented, it’s wonderful.
3. App opening animation, AOD, and unlock animation. Now it looks faster, prettier, and a little more expensive.
I sincerely hope that the final version will have fewer bugs and more improvements in the user experience.
