ANC switching behaviour on CMF buds 2a while traveling - help

I recently noticed a strange issue with my CMF Buds 2A. I purchased them about a week ago, and today while traveling, I observed that the ANC mode was automatically switching to Normal mode on its own. Interestingly, when I stopped at a traffic signal, the ANC turned back on by itself.

Additionally, at one point when the ANC turned off automatically, I manually switched to Transparency mode and then back to ANC. It worked fine for about a minute, but then it switched to Normal mode again. At the next traffic stop, it returned to ANC mode on its own.

Considering that the CMF Buds 2A don’t have in-ear detection, I’m quite confused about what’s happening. Can someone please confirm if this behavior is normal or if there might be an issue with my earbuds?

Isagi6_9 I’m also having the same issue. It randomly changes modes, going from “off” to transparency usually.

That has been happening with my cmf 2 plus earbuds too! And they're relatively brand new 🙁 I've switched off in-ear detection and my usual control for switching modes is a press-and-hold so its not like my hair or hands would accidentally trigger it…

Thanks for sharing! That’s really helpful to know — looks like this issue isn’t limited to just my pair then. Since it’s happening across models, it might be some kind of firmware or software glitch. Hopefully CMF releases an update to fix it soon.

Yes something like this is happening with my buds 2a as well. The transparency mode doesn't stay, it just decided to go to normal however, in the app it still shows transparency and it will only work if I swich back the modes.

I have noticed this only after joining the open beta.

Hope they fix this with some software update

The opposite happens for me. Transparency mode many times blocks out noise and then returns to normal a few seconds later

This is actually dangerous when I'm crossing roads, expecting to hear my surrounding
