Hello Nothing family, Hope you all are doing good! I take this opportunity to express something important in our community. When the Phone 3 was released, a certain debate started to appear and with the Nothing OS 4.0 introduction it got a bit louder. This is about the comments and words that related to Nothing's credibility. As a Nothing member and a Nothing user, I would like to inform our fellow members that we all are together in a group where something different is designed. In this, every small aspect is included. The most important is financial support for our Nothing team to work further. Instead of spreading some detailing comments and words, we can, together, share our feedback and listen to the Nothing team so that we get the changes slow and steady. Finally, I would suggest not to compare Nothing with other players! Let's be together and work for the optimal design and better technology! Thank you!

"Where something different is designed " The problem is that " something different" is slowly going away from Nothing, otherwise why would everyone on the community (even who supported it for a long time) be doing this ?

You told that we should not compare Nothing with other players ? Bro , even they compared themselves with Samsung for adding bloats saying it is standardized in the industry and everyone is doing it . What about that comparison ?

Dont compare : for features and customizations

Compare : for ads and bloatwares

Is that the point ?

Buying a phone is at least a three year long commitment. People are comparing models because they want to make the best choice for the hefty sum of money they pay

Or is that the most requested feature here , more than the ability to change the color of the lockscreen clock which messes up with light colored wallpapers .

Even if you add your own photos , are you sure that your data will not be shared to third party services?

its a damn beta build brother. Its not a public release build. Beta means there will be room for changes. Yeah there is the issue of getting ads initially. But soon when they get a proper working one they will release the feature. Also the lock glimpse is off by default. If it bothers that much, then there are various de bloating scripts available on GitHub, download one of them , find the package, and remove the package.

because they don't want any buggy code to leak the user's data. Because if an untested version is released and if data is leaked, it will get a lot more backlash. So they instead go with already existing programs. They are testing the feature and once again its a beta wether it be a public beta. Beta tends to capture problems. Its not a full global release.

the solution which you are suggesting which can be done on other devices with much more good hardware so what's the point of paying extra money for this hardware and to get glimpse or light version of glance

So instead of giving advice to me you should also criticise their move so they will remove it from previously purchased devices which were sold on no bloatware and clean UI promise

Naren also i am not suggesting any solution, just putting my point of view,ok and as per your statement, you are telling to test on high end capable device then push the feature on low end device, after which you will again come back ans yapp that the feature works well on only high end and not on low end. Bottoms Up approach is followed brother. also on what basis should I be criticising? I have NP2 , CMF P1 & P2pro. It doesn't matter that much to a normal user, because even with this new glimpse features, their daily work doesn't get stuck. because they don't spend major time on their Lockscreen…. Unlike you I guess. And if it bothers that much, then there exists tools that safely remove the entire software if you wish to keep bloatfree OS. Just get that tool, and remove it yourself if it bothers you that much Just saying… …. If you want i may guide you tooo……..😏😏😏

Naren then why did you join beta ….. beta is also not included in the default mode ….. so if you are downloading externally beta then getting beta build and then complaining beta not well . If you can do this then why not the latter. Just remove the beta and get what you had when you bought the phone .

Naren he makes mistakes but he is not the only one who designed the os4 . He just gives vision, then it's upto the design team how they proceed.
