Nicouschulas Maybe it’s the burnout talking. 1200+ comments in a year is no small feat! I don’t engage with every single post or comment (I’ve made about 200 in 7 months), and even then I still feel mentally exhausted sometimes from all the back-and-forth arguments. So I totally get it.
Some posts or the comments under them can be really triggering or just too tempting not to respond to. I still give in occasionally, but once I realize the discussion isn’t going anywhere, or that someone’s just trying to bait me into an argument, I step away for my own peace of mind.
I rarely ignore trolls here, since sometimes even they can spark an interesting discussion. But there was one case where someone just kept assuming things and trying to provoke me. I finally ignored them, and even though they kept replying under my posts (I can no longer see their comments), it honestly helped a lot.
So yeah, taking a step back when things get too negative or repetitive can make a big difference. Hopefully that helps a bit.
