Hi CMF / Nothing Community Team,

Thanks for all the work going into updates for the CMF Phone 2 Pro. Since the V3.2-251103-2121 update, though, a lot of us in this thread have been seeing serious regressions in camera processing.

On my side, I have already submitted full bug reports for my CMF Phone 2 Pro on V3.2-251103-2121 through the OS feedback tool, including media samples, camera logs and crash reports. The main issues I am seeing are:

HDR behaving unpredictably
Very unnatural skin tone rendering
Low-light photos with worse exposure and more aggressive, “overcooked” processing with occasional artifacts due to the excessive processing

Given how many similar reports are now in this discussion, could the team please clarify:

A) Are these camera issues (HDR, skin tones, low-light/post-processing) currently acknowledged and being actively worked on?

B) Is there any rough timeline or planned patch to address them that you can share with us?

Any update you can provide to the community would be really appreciated, even if it is just a confirmation that the regressions have been reproduced internally.

Before the update the camera was perfect

Now it’s really disappointing

The photos are over processed not look like real. Looks more contrasty and over exposed. The color tone changed after processing (sometimes turned blackish). Color variance in main and telephoto censor. The photos of telephoto degraded as compared to previous.

I noticed the tap to show lockscreen features doesn’t work.

Hope nothing will fix this ASAP. We need the camera as before .

For comparison I have uploaded same picture taken alomst in same condition before update and after. The photo before update manages background and highlights the sun is well balanced in the background. But now the sun is completed washed away

The compass Widget in my cmf 2 pro, is kinda buggy(it lags so much and doesn’t move smoothly it did before) after the recent update….Help?

CMF1_hacker the HDR had worsened with this update earlier pictures looked natural and human subject was well balanced with background lights but now the picture because very darkish contrasting and human subject becomes uneven skin toned and very poor

Womey after this update camera quality is downgrade and sometimes lens shifting 1x to 2x there is a glitch like shift

That is the main camera shifting to the telephoto when zooming, you cannot zoom on the main camera with this update from what I have experienced and others here. Hopeful for the NOS 4.0 update to address this as well.

Support let me know they’ll continue working on future camera optimizations, but they did not confirm whether any of the specific issues I reported have been reproduced or are being actively investigated. Their response mainly thanked me for the information and reiterated that the device (CMF2P) will receive ongoing camera updates, without explicitly acknowledging these behaviors as known problems.
