If you caught @Carl on the Gstaad Guy Podcast, you probably heard something interesting:
Nothing just quietly evolved its core philosophy, and it says a lot about where tech is heading. Let me give you a gist of it…
Since the start, Nothing’s mission was: “Make tech fun again.”
A nod to a time when devices felt exciting, surprising & human.
But that mission has changed. Or must I say- evolved to something more meaningful.
The new mission: “Make tech fun to inspire human creativity.”
A subtle change, but it tells a lot about a small new tech company's ambition. The idea isn’t just about fun anymore. It’s about unlocking something deeper in us- the users, the community.
Carl says: Tech is now already "fun" today (thanks to Nothing 🤝), so “again” doesn’t fit. But creativity? That’s humanity’s real superpower in the age of AI.
And when he says “creativity,” he doesn’t just mean art or design. He means problem-solving, thinking better & working smarter. Building things that didn’t exist before.
Which brings us to the new vision: “To create the leading and most loved tech company for the next generation.” Not necessarily the biggest, but the most loved.
And the path to that? Products that help people express creativity, stay curious, and actually enjoy tech instead of fighting it. ❤️
