Nothing OS 2.5 is our most significant update since the launch of OS 2.0. Packed with exciting new features to make your smartphone experience as efficient and personal as possible.

We’re still in the process of Beta testing on Phone (1) and from today, Open Beta 2 is available as an OTA for those on Open Beta 1:

Install from Open Beta 1:

  • Navigate to Settings > System > System Update
  • Tap “Check for update” and follow the steps for installation

Install from non-Beta OS versions:

  • You first need to install Open Beta 1 - Check here for instructions
  • Then, as above, navigate to Settings > System > System Update
  • Tap “Check for update” and follow the steps for installation of Open Beta 2

Rollback from Open Beta 2:

Backup all your data as the rollback will result in a factory reset. All unsaved data will be lost.

Download the rollback package for Nothing OS 2.0.5

Navigate to Settings > System > Update to Beta version.

Tap “Import file” and select the previously downloaded package.

Follow the steps to carry through with the rollback.

(You may need to create a folder called ‘Documents’ within Internal Storage if you experience an error when trying to install/rollback)

    Hello Nothing comunity,

    I’ve came across couple of bugs:

    1. NFC doesn’t work in the latest Android 14, which you said, if the users would install new versian through your website, but here in the phone settings there was were no problems mentioned before updating to new version. I don’t how to downgrade the version now, so I’m stuck with the new Android 14, where the NFC doesn’t work, which js quite essential for me.
    2. When I tried to report this bug through settings > system > feedback. I was unable to find the feedback section. So now I’m here to report this.

    So far so good, other essential features are working on my phone I’d say. Just one more thing, when I have a phone on only vibrations, I’d expect to have my glyph notifications and essential notification turned on, but I’ve noticed that sometimes my essential notification is not light up when checking my phone. I also suggested some interesting features inspired from Samsung’s Android, so if you’d be interested, please take a look at my past posted threads to comunity.

    Edit: I’ve tried to restart the device and now the NFC works, so that’s no longer an issue, but the feedback section in settings is still not there

      Optimised VoLTE icon display logic in the status bar. Do not showing in status bar struct to VoNR

      1. Download the Rollback to 2.0.5
      2. Go to Settings → System → Update to Beta Version → Import File → Select the Just downloaded Rollback & install it

      That is the theoretic way to do it…

        @Rob ⚡️ hey is the QS Panel Colour Tiles set to monochrome no matter which colour you choose is an issue or it’s the design, if it’s the design it’s boaring please at least give us a option to change the colour
