CMF1_hacker with all the hype around the new update, people will surely expect something a bit different. Im glad the OS satisfies your needs and that you are happy with it just as it is now, but most people aren’t. And with all other OS getting a “redesign” along with A16, people expect that from Nothing. It’s completely natural for them to do so.
I, for one, am also pleased with how the current OS looks and functions, but I believe it could be better.
I liked how Samsung used Sound Assistant to control the sound of different apps separately, and even allow apps to cast to different media outputs. So that would be nice to have in NOS 4 without having a third party app.
Cameras are great, but the algorithm and processing can be better.
Battery life can be managed better too. The OS can have a learning option (real learning) so that it recognizes what apps you use the most and your usage patter to optimize the OS. If the current OS has it, it’s missing from mine.
I just would like better optimization of the OS. My NP3 has 0 optimization and actions like using hotspot tends to get the phone hot enough for it to turn it off.
And for people that want aesthetic changes, they have to think about what those changes bring to the table in terms of function. If a liquid theme is just to look like a drop of water, the whats the point of it if it’s not the original identity of the OS?
