AbiS_MjZL72iTVk First thing, I’ve used smartphones since the Galaxy Ace times, and to this day, there has not been ONE phone I’ve had or heard of, that got better cameras via updates. The first one I’ve had to do that was the (2a) Plus, and, ironically - the NP2. It had a “improved camera update” as soon as I took it out of the box. Cannot compare it pre-update as I updated instantly, but the (2a) Plus has improved, it was a little bit worse than an iPhone 15 Pro when I compared the two. NP(2) has an amazing camera. NOS 4.0 also fixed the slow camera app startup as the whole OS flies faster than ever.
From my POV I don’t see how the Nothing Phone (2)'s cameras could be improved. Quality is great, details ale great, the ultra-wide is better than the Nothing Phone (3), HDR is GODLIKE.
It IS hatred, because the argument is “we criticised them for years for trash image optimization!!!” - okay, but what does that even mean? Did they promise massive camera improvements with updates? What is “trash image optmization”? Bad colors? No HDR?
I don’t follow these threads as I myself haven’t got any problems with any of their phones (the Headphones tho…), but it seems like you made up a problem that didn’t exist because they never said they’ll make the camera better, and you’re mad that they never made the camera better. Just like you’re mad the 4.0 update came to the (3) first and not the CMF, and you’d still be mad no matter how would they distribute the update.
