As a NP3 user I also received the update of NOS 4.0 and yes the workaround for NOS 4.0 is really appreciating and I admire that.
Animations Improvement
Battery optimisation went awesome
Icons are now more iconic
Heating is reduced well
Performance is increased
Ui feels more snappier than early even on
60 Hz
Haptics felt better than last time
But here are some few cons I addressed and they are serious :
- Colour banding issue and black uniformity issue. While watching movies this issue still persist where colour leakage is occuring!
In earlier post I mentioned this issue and still this issue persist

IT REALLY FEELS AWKWARD MOMENT WHEN WATCHING MOVIES WITH FAMILY OR FRIENDS.
Probably this GPU overlays rendering issue need to be monitored.
2. And another known bug is in camera I guess
the screen timeout issue with camera while camera is being used while using third party camera software this issue is not present.
But while using stock came this issue occurs I have mentioned in earlier post abt this issue is persisting since phone 3 launch from NOS 3.5 itself. This screen timeout issue causes us to unable to use essential space while taking a snapshot and adding information as screen timeout occurs and snap remains incomplete.
Many people are primarily facing these issues in their devices and it’s not good for us and them hope you guys will take a serious attention on this cuz other people around us they say how does this flagship device could have such issue and it hurts to listen that.
I’m not criticizing or judging but I helping by sharing this feedback acknowledging you about these hidden issues. I hoping again you will take this feedback and create some preventive measures through updates or something.
Better you guys take a look and atleast reply so we can understand the mess or guide us. It’s a kind request
This is a much easier fix than the color banding. It requires the developer to add a single line of code that sets a flag (like FLAG_KEEP_SCREEN_ON) within the stock camera app’s activity. The fact that it has persisted since the Phone (3) launch is frustrating, but simple bugs sometimes get overlooked in favor of bigger features and should be able to address this in a future maintenance update.
The phone’s screen timeout feature overrides the camera app’s focus/use time, causing the screen to dim or lock while using the stock camera (and trying to use Essential Space features).
