Nothing OS 4.0 - stable update feedback

Instead of introducing new features, the latest Nothing OS update has brought a wave of bugs — within just three days I’m already facing multiple issues: 1)Android Auto (via cable) frequently disconnects and reconnects on its own. 2)when that doesn’t happen Android Auto freezes completely after a few minutes of driving, forcing me to unplug and reconnect the cable;. 3)several apps are failing to update in the Play Store, starting with one app immediately after the update and now increasing to eight apps over three days. 4)Background/minimized apps are not functioning properly — music stops playing and Telegram downloads pause within 1–2 minutes unless the app remains on the active screen. I’ve already reported all issues through the Settings → Feedback option with logs and evidence (except the Android Auto freeze since recording isn’t possible while driving), but no proper resolution has been provided so far — the response is repeatedly the same generic troubleshooting steps and “visit service centre,” meaning the issue is not being escalated to the concerned technical team and is getting lost in non-technical customer support communication.

Same for me i thought NOS experience would be cool but slowly they are ruining the software experience

NVamshi have you got the update yet? Just curious because I haven’t and I feel similar to you. I left the Google ecosystem a little over a month ago and it’s a big change! Just concerned about how long the update is taking to reach all the phone 3’s 🙁

that hasn’t rolled out in stable, so that’s not evidence. when it does; I’ll assess it. currently, it’s conjecture.

NOTHING has a very tight window to employ that, which is why the 3a stable is delayed IMHO.

I assume they’re doing testing with ADB removal/dsiable to ensure they can meet their contractural requirements and not pissing everyone off; i.e. looking for a nice legal loophole.

that’s what I do if I was a CEO/COO/CSO/CTO at this minute in NTL.

CMF1_hacker everyone can see that i gave you the evidence of addition of all these types of bloatware and lock glimpse things in their os but if you do not want to believe and want to set your own narrative i can understand

Naren It’s off by default, use it or don’t. If you don’t use it then it hasn’t ruined your experience. If you do use it then it’s by your choice and again it hasn’t ruined your experience. In the end your experience has not been ruined by Nothing.

Same here.

Stable NOS 4.0, Android Auto via wireless is frozen every few mins

I hope they fix it soon if not ill sell the phone and change the ecosystem to another brand, very disappointed lately

karthie2 Bro!! You’re the lucky one. Do not update. It’s of no use. Things which were working in NOS 3.5 are not working in 4.0 and no additional features as well. So enjoy 3.5. Do not update until all issues are fixed.

Its Really Buggy, there is something with the googly eyes..it always go on the left…there something in the notification toggles…like just a little light…..or something…i turned on extra dark mode and that happened

Hey, i don’t know why when I recieve any notification the sound is less then before update. Is it any new feature Or issue ? What should I do?
