Second, for aesthetic reasons, battery consumption, and performance, the quick settings panel is completely black. Remember that all Nothing Phone and CMF devices have OLED screens, so making the quick settings panel fully black effectively turns off that portion of the display. Because the panel is not rendered with transparency, the CPU and GPU don’t need to process that area, which saves battery life, improves performance, and preserves the Nothing OS aesthetic.
