Louis ☕️ I would disagree with you though, Nothing OS alone has a lot of extraordinary things that other brands do not give their users, let alone the Glyphs found on the rear of the devices and their functionality.

Hi Sir. As a owner of one of nothing phone 2, I genuinely agree with U. Mobile is just awesome and UI is sooo good & minimal. But only problem I’m facing is HDR mode in camera app. There is no option to turn off HDR as sometimes HDR making pics bad. I hope in further update devs give solution to this.

What are the reasons why Nothing phones have not been supported for, let’s say, five years like the IPhone? I think this would be a very cool solution, as it would give the notion that Nothing phones are capable of five years of faithful service.

Dude, if you are really want nothing as a mobile company to grow,a constructive and a postive feedback will be well appreciated. However looking at what you have been posting, you seem to me like a horrible person. You make everything sound so easy so what don’t you start a company yourself and produce the “perfect” mobile phone you want? There are many things to consider when it comes to implement changes eg.patent rights etc. Threatening to bring down a young and aspiring company with those words doesn’t do you any good. If you can’t be any understanding and lacks any considerations perhaps go back to using a simple keypad dial mobile phone. A smart phone might be too much for you to handle, especially you know nothing about R&D ,marketing ,applications for patent rights etc. Don’t make it sound like “nothing” as a company is not doing anything to resolve any issues. If you have something constructive to contribute ,that’s great,if you have got none ,you can go on and whine like an old hag.

Did anyone noticed that a flagship phones do get an OS update for near for 4-5 years nowadays, as for Iphone we do noticed the oldest of them iphone xe is also going to get ios 18 the new os upcoming, and similiar case of Pixel their os update years are pretty much good, so do Nothing have to choose that kind of flagship charcter in their tech market? 🤔

Later, nothing should launch upgrade offers so that existing users will exchange their old phones for new ones and receive the best value for their devices. Nowadays, OnePlus is implementing a similar strategy for their older phones due to the green line issue. They are providing the best value for three-year-old phones and also offering vouchers

Today, I have seen an advertisement from oneplus stating that their upcoming Nord 4 will get 4 android updates and 6 years of security updates. Mostly the phone will be in 30k to 35k range.

Nothing phone 2 launched at a price of 45k and will get only 3 android updates and 4 years of security updates. Even the nothing phone 2a has the same update policy. What is the difference between flagship and a midrange phone?

See, nothing phones are known for their software more than the hardware. As nothing is in initial phase their software doesn’t have all the features that other OEM has. Still they are slowly integrating the features one by one.

Also to differentiate the flagship lineup from midrange, you should increase the number of updates. Because the update policy of CMF phone 1 is differentiated from nothing phone 2a based on the price segment.

Same treatment has to be given for the flagship offering.

Jerin Jose it’s a shame on nothing company. When we compare with others budgets phone nothing phone 2 is much lower than any other average phones on everything like software features hardware.

I feel bad after buying this phone 2. And no one is interested on buying nothing phone these days.

I’m assuming because Nothing is a smaller company right now, they’re going through with what they seem as the minimum they can offer.

I’m certain a couple of generations later they’ll probably match the 5+6y model at the very least.

I have a suggestion for Nothing Phones. It would be better if the nothing gets a software update atleast of 5 years.It could be implemented atleast in Nothing’s flagship phones. I think even a low budget phone provides 3 years of software update for the users.

However, I don’t think many people use their phones for more than five years, so five years is the optimum time for OS updates.

If we could create a system that could repair the Nothing Phone from any kind of malfunction, I think it would be a good idea to charge for security updates and provide support for more than seven years.(Google Translate from Japan)

BassimBinYoosaf Even though google claims 7 yrs of software updates, google tensor chil most probably wont be able to handle it. And also remember phone 2 is not a flagship product and it doesn’t contain a great chip either. It would’ve been if the uldate policy was 4 or 5 years but asking for 7 years is just stupid.Remember is just a new company.

JoelV According to my use I am fine with a 5 years but as Nothing Phone 2 is Nothing’s current highest budget phone so I feel like there is nothing bad in requesting for a 7 years of a software and security updates.
