The design, just like the entire ‘a’ series, is disgusting. The buttons have been moved to one side, which is terrible. The Glyphs and Glyph Matrix have been replaced by 7 squares of varying brightness, and the hardware, according to the leaks, is outdated crap. Faith in the brand and the hope that they’ll feed us a good flagship in ’27 is fading fast.

notathingtoseehere I’m a 3a Pro owner and love it, it was suggested that the 4a Pro will get the matrix and not the Glyph Bar! I personally hope not, I prefer the Glyph bar and do not like the Matrix at all! I think reddit posted some specs, it seems the upgrade will be subtle and not a leap this year. I suppose they need to make up for the losses on 3a Lite and 3. I personally am happy with the 3a Pro spec, but would like a more stable camera performance video 60× 4k SD Storage and upgrade in IP protection 65/68? Other than that happy.

huttonstephen5 4k 60 fps video recording is really what they are missing because a lot of other phones of the 3(a) Pro’s price segment have 4k 60 fps recording at least one the rear camera if not the front camera. If Google can make the shitty tensor g1 chip on the pixel 6a be able to record 4k 60 fps video then the much more powerful snapdragon 7s gen 4 on the 4(a) Pro definately should.

Zephyr snapdragons 7 gen4 support 4k60fps , but not the “s” series that cost 50% less than normal series. That’s why Nothing is using this CPU… just because of the cheap price. But they will sell the 4a series for 400€ ++… for this price not supporting 4k60fps it’s a fucking SCAM in 2026… even a Chinese phone for just 250€ can video record at 60fps4k…. Nothing lost here, tons of users… because 3a and 4a are exactly the same, just ufs 2.2 to 3.1 (almost 0 performance for daily use) 80mah more of battery (10% more of the battery duration), a bit more of pixel density in the screen…almost unappreciative. Just a scam.

For me, this is how button placement should be on all phones. I’m left handed, but I hold the phone in my right hand, and having the volume keys on the right means adjustment is much easier. Maybe move the power button a little further down, but this looks more ergonomic.

Love it! Finally I fell its like matured design-wise, have some concrete to it, cant really explain. Dare you to do it in 5.6-ish screen inch size (4z - inspiration like once Z Compact series from Sony), big enough battery, decent camera and you’ll have sold out phone and a lot of hype. And if bold enough figure out with Teenage Engineering how to fit Aux. Think asking for memory card slot is too much but hey - You may say I am a dreamer, but I am not the only one 🙂

Starting with the 3a, moving to the 3, and seeing this? This phone looks fantastic! A little bit of everything we love about Nothing!

As crazy as it sounds, depending on what the specs are, I might ACTUALLY leave the 3 for the 4a! (Yes, in white. Props for dropping the pink, but that white looks so clean, crisp, and touches all the big bits we loved about past phone versions with little touches of them all!)

And the Glyph Bar? I have to say, strangely enough I like it more than the Glyph Matrix. “Glyph Toys” really don’t have a good adoption sadly. Wish more community members were invited to make more for the community.

So, in short, love the look, love the throwback to Nothing’s past - let’s see the guts!
