Nothing Widget Limitation

While trying out some widgets from playground I came across this issue that I cannot use widgets over 6 count. Would like to know why is it limited and if ever sooner the better it will be uplifted? I have came across a lot of apps from playground and I would like to have them. Hoping, Nothing looks into this matter.

ronv That’s exactly the point! '‘Nothing’' checks the stability of the widgets (from what I understand) and therefore we are limited to only 6, in order to maintain stability.

For other phones(With weaker processors..), it’s limited to 2, say thank you 😉

lolifnotely🇮🇱 That’s absolutely right. They treat the old users like we don’t deserve anything that’s launching with new Devices.

The 3 major OS upgrades itself feels like a Scam. Its not even close to 1 major upgrade. The NP2 users are stuck with what they got during the release , be it the good and bad , neither has improved .

They have time to add new features to the Essential space , but can’t fix the basics like camera optimization, still feeling embarrassed to take out this near flagship NP2 to take some good pictures , even lower midrange phones perform better .

No essential space, no essential search , widget limitation, no new features , new bugs and what not…

Buying this phone has got me nothing but regrets…

I have a Nothing Phone 2 and my limitation is also 2. I want to add 3 community widgets but I am unable to add one more. I don’t quite understand why is this restriction there in the first place?

yash1 The company’s claims are to maintain the stability of the software, but in reality it’s just to attract people to buy the premium models…

I would say artificial limitations like these are against the core spirit of modification. I like to customise my phone and set it up how I like. It is one of the biggest reasons why I like android and do not like apple’s way of doing things. I want to be incharge of my phone. If my phone slows down due to widgets, then that is something I should be able to do. I highly doubt a phone with such good hardware is slowing down because I added a water tracker widget. A toggle button in developer options that removes this restriction would be nice.
