Configuring a ringer only (no vibration) mode disables vibration entirely

I’m surprised this hasn’t come up before, but this phone has the strangest ringer and vibration settings. I will try and explain. The default setting is to have the phone ring and vibrate together. What I’d like to achieve is to have a loud mode where the phone rings but does not vibrate. The way to do this in most phone is to switch off ‘vibrate for calls’ in settings. In the Phone (2), doing this give you a ring only mode but also kills vibration entirely, even when you switch to ‘vibrate’. It’s very easy to replicate and others have posted about it as well. See this reddit thread, for example. Please help fix this bug.

Do note that I submitted a bug request through my phone, and responded to the queries raised. I got no response from Nothing Support and the case was closed.

Even I am facing the same issue. I dont want the by default setting to vibrate everytime for call. I turned of the vibration for call. But in some scenario like bike riding Vibration is must so if we put the phone in vibration mode. It doesnt work. @changename kindly resolve this issue

If we put the switch on the vibrate for call and put the call in Ring profile , phone will vibrate along with ringtone. Which is annoying.

We really want “ringtone only” mode and “vibrate only” mode

So, in my case it is no different than that; I go to Sound and vibration, then under Vibration I have Vibrate for calls active. And it vibrates just fine WITH RINGTONE unless in silent mode when it doesn’t ring (sound/ringtone) nor vibrates 🤷‍♂️ All other phones vibrate in silent mode 🤷‍♂️ When I shift that toggle to vibrate only it mutes ringtones and it doesn’t vibrate despite having vibration toggled on for calls.

Hmm… So you don’t like when something was in NOS 2.6 and then removed, but you like when it’s in stock Android, but then removed for NOS? Interesting.

CMF1_hacker I even like that they’ve removed features from stock Android.

But yeah, I like that they’ve removed useless features from NOS 2.6, they need to save their expensive time for more important things.

exactly.. we need only vibration and only ring tone.. and notifications is taking away all the battery if vibration is left on .. unnecessary during sound mode it is irritating while it is vibrating and killing us and killing the battery.. and in 3a pro.. this kind of bugs is absolutely. not acceptable..
