I use Dashlane as my password manager. It offers Android 14 support for passkeys. That’s great and all, but when I press a button that will open the menu for choosing from where to use the passkeys, Dashlane is not there. When I installed the Dashlane Open-source Passkeys Demo Application, it outputs an error -> “Login error -> Your device doesn’t support credential manager”.

I would love to take full advantage of version 2.5.2 (Nothing Phone 1), which is based onto Android 14. @

Derren changed the title to Unable to Use Dashlane Passkeys .

Bump. Have the same issue on my Nothing Phone 2 both on 2.5.1 and 2.5.2. I use 1Password instead of Dashlane with the same result. Google passkeys works fine btw.

There’s a flag in chrome://flags called “Android Credential Management for passkeys” which works on my Pixel 7 Pro without any issue, but on my Phone (2) Chrome just crashes every time I try to use a passkey while this flag is enabled.

So, the issue is clearly with passkey implementation in Nothing OS.

Bump. It is generally not possible to use any other password manager as default app for passkeys. only google.

I’m enpass user and it’s passkeys do not work as well.

There must be a bug that prevents 3rd party password managers.

Seems to be broken on EVERY nothing phone having a recent firmware with A14 installed

Same issue on Nothing 2a. Passkeys do not work when asked from laptop for enrollment or authentication even with Google password manager. Tried registering Passkeys on Uber app installed on the phone but it also throws error.

Have already reported the issue, but have not received any further response.

Bump. Same problem with Proton Pass. Last straw for me, Nothing OS not supporting security feature and not doing any sort of regression test on that type of feature is a serious deal breaker.

This is so disappointing. After some useless back and forth about this subject with Nothing Support, I got no more replies for the last month

I guess this security feature is a secondary thing when they are more busy releasing newer products leaving bugs behind

Hello everyone, Hello everyone, Do you also have the problem that you cannot create a Keepass for apps such as PayPal or WhatsApp?

I always get an error message. Do you have any tips on how this could work?

Trying to turn on Passkey support for Microsoft Authenticator but missing the “Additional providers” option, i thought this was a standard option in Android 14.

    Maybe i’m doing something wrong?

Merged 2 posts from No support for passkeys in Nothing OS?.
Mr Steel changed the title to NothingOS - Passkeys .

YazhamuthanAruchamy The company i work for is only allowing Microsoft Authenticator.

The total lack of attention to security with super late security patches and removal of basic functions like the option to add additional providers is starting to piss me off and reducing the whole “Nothing” brand to a gimmicky toys not fit for any kind of serious corporate use..

MagnusG Acutally we are the using that open source applications only in my father mobile Nothing 2a, still now we did not face any issues, still now I think it was good, Nothing may consider by using the open sources applications into their mobile phones I think only few peoples need for applications.

I have create an pleanty of lists for open source applications if nothing may consider that in the future upcoming updates like 4 or 5 like that If you need please refer the document I am proving below.

It would be nice with an explanation from Nothing.

Options under settings/passwords and accounts for everyone running Android 13 and earlier (and Nothing):

Options under settings/passwords and accounts for EVERYONE running Android 14 (except for Nothing):

      Why??

It is not actually Android 14 for the Nothing OS? Just a revamped version of Android 13?

There is now an issue about this on Android issue tracker, looks like it’s also happening on other phones too:

      https://issuetracker.google.com/issues/349310440

I’m surprised that this is actually something that OEM can turn off. It shouldn’t be, or does passkey require any new piece of hardware that older phones don’t have?
