Hey everyone. In our latest update for N Dial, we want to implement the Glyph lights for Nothing devices for incoming calls. However, I registered for the API key but received an email about debugging without the GDK. I guess the team must have misunderstood it or something maybe I didn’t get it. Can you please take a look into it and if you can send us the Dev kit or API key to that email, it would help us as well as those users who are desperately waiting for Glyphs in N Dial. Thanks!

varun_vp_ If you don’t understand it, you’re not the target audience. As the name suggests, it’s for developers. Application developers can integrate the glyph interface directly within their own apps

This will be an interesting thing for sure for developers to add Glyph support to their apps. Will been curious what the community comes up with. I will take it for a spin myself for fun. However I am curious what the API key is used for here? Given the SDK presumably runs on device so is the key for tracking and error reporting etc? Would be good to understand how that’s being used.

obakesan From what I’ve read from previous reverse engineering of the glyph SDK, there is a proxy between the app and the glyphs and that validates whether an app is allowed to use the glyphs or not. Basically it checks whether the app has a valid key or not. This is probably there to stop malicious apps from just glaring the glyphs and/or misusing them.

These keys and validated apps list are updated frequently so if there is a malicious app that’s using this SDK, they can just remove it from the list of allowed apps.

Will it be animate like this?

1.Turn on Channel B for 3000ms (Period)
2. Wait for 10ms (Interval)
3.Turn on Channel B again for 3000ms (2 Cycles)

I would say: Turns on Channel B (strip on top right, opposite to camera) for 3 sec (3000 ms) waits 10 ms and then again lights up Channel B for 3 sec, because there’s buildCycles(2), so it will light up just twice
