NP3: 4.1 is actually 4.0. Disappointment.

Guys this update is a joke 😂 4.0 became 4.1, just security patch, and that’s it?? No fix for the charging limit, battery optimisation is still trash, heating issue still there 🙄 And they’re out here acting like they did something big lmaooo. They really think we don’t notice 😝 We’re not that dumb guys. come on.

My phone is charging at 4-5W capacity from 30-40 days. It take 2-3 hours to charge and daily i need to charge atleast 2 times. So annoying. Nothing new.

MotorcycleIn I assume (or rather; I want to hope) that they released this update so lacking in changes (relatively) solely because of the great pressure from the community, and later this month they will add all these much-needed fixes… The heating and charging problem Simply unbearable , Hopefully they have something to say about it

MotorcycleIn even I’m not happy with my purchase. Now the focus seems to be on the 4a series. Heating and battery backup issue is just killing me!

MotorcycleIn My NP3 doesn’t have any issue you mentioned. It charges 10 -> 90 in around 50 minutes, not even using any official cable.

Even with 80% charge the phone usually lasts me for a full day, I just extend the limit to 90% or even 100% on days where I know I need more battery life and won’t be able to recharge the phone on the go.

I also yet have to face any real heating issues with this phone. Yes sometimes it gets warm, like every phone, but certainly not unusually hot.

Maybe there is an issue with your particular device.

JP It doesn’t matter which charger you use (at least for me), even PPS chargers charge at a speed of only 0.3-25W…

JP factory reset is like a trauma. Emails, data and everything. So much stressful and time consuming thing. But only option to try so will give it a try.

JP Still, it’s not optimal, it should charge at 65W…

I shouldn’t have to waste a day of work going to a service center to get a standard user experience… and resetting the phone isn’t such a nice thing either

But you should try other methods first… last resort will be factory reset…

I’m also against that advertised high watt charging speeds and almost all brands does that… my cmf ph1 also charges at 17-20w but it’s says 33w on box

I recently shared graph of 4a full charge and 50w charging speed only reached for few seconds…

JP But the phone used to actually charge within an hour (roughly, a few minutes here, a few minutes there). Now I can wait 4 hours for a full charge!!! Not at all reasonable.

Also try plugging/unplugging twice while charging… that’s also a issue… happens with my cmf..if charges faster after replugging

If possible, it would be helpful to consolidate all the bugs into a single post. This would make it easier for the Nothing team to track them and for us to follow up in one place.

Can someone take the initiative to compile all the reported bugs and share them in one post?

•Heating problem even with normal use

•Slow charging problem despite a supported charger

(and sometimes even despite the phone’s standard temperature)

•Bad battery optimization (logically due to the heating)

•Green tint at low brightness

•Display dims when there is a minimized media window

•An issue that makes it impossible to control the phone’s media volume (in any way), even when connecting Bluetooth devices

•Problem responding to notifications from the quick menu after updating to version 4.1

Enabled “Allow background usage” App setting ignored.
(Related) No “Lock app” setting available.

Agreed this supposedly major update is anything but… Nothing took our “flagship” money and just ran laughing to the bank…

This is primarily a security update rather than feature update. For a supposed “Flagship” device Phone 3 seems like Nothing’s stepchild.

Coldpaw It’s not his specific device, if you search a bit in the community you’ll see that there are a number of other users for whom this is happening… It seems you survived the selection😅

The phone rises to unreasonable temperatures in an air-conditioned room with reasonable use… This is definitely a problem that needs attention.

Coldpaw my device is charging at 3-5W. Earlier it used to charge at 20-25W. Many users are facing the same.
