JP There are many people with 3, 3a, 2 ,2a who doesnāt have any issues and getting 10hr+ sot ā¦and some users also getting 15hr of sot from phone 3ā¦
People who have issues with (3a)'s battery life (I canāt tell about other devices, but Iām assuming itās the same) all 100% surely have all background scanning enabled, like that in the launcher, and all of that constantly scans for file changes and destroys battery life. This is me currently, with Reddit (battery-hungry app), and with a 40-ish minutes long call in Telegram being the top two consumers at the moment:

On my regular ~10 hours SOT pace, and I even use Firefox (which is also a bit more hungry than Chrome).
If people just tried to disable this unnecessary and useless slop, they would have their battery life back. NOS 4.x is amazing (when this trash is disabled, and no - absolutely no sane person is going to search for their messages in the launcher, so itās useless even for that).

Edit: Itās useless because itās specifically targeted; you know you want to search a message, for example. So instead of doing:
Step 1 - open Messages, Step 2 - search for message, Step 3 - open a found message
ā¦the procedure here is:
Step 1 - open the launcher, Step 2 - search for message, Step 3 - open Messages (by tapping the results in the launcher), Search 4 - open a found message
It is just a much slower process. And it drains battery for no any advantage. Or searching Widgets (wtf), or Settings (it literally has its own and very fast search right on top)⦠Almost everything is at least two extra steps by doing from the launcher. Itās like searching whatās in your fridge via some app; mate, literally open that damn fridge and see it yourself, itās there, inside.
