From what Iâve experienced and observed through user reviews, the CMF Phone 2 Pro camera hasnât been the same since that buggy update before November. That update (NOS 3.2) clearly disrupted the cameraâs post-processing, and the effects are still being felt.
The **biggest issue right now is low-light post-processing**. This should be the top priority to fix. In low-light conditions, the camera processing feels completely offâimages often come out with unnatural tones, strange color shifts, and an overall âsickâ look. Instead of improving clarity and balancing noise, the processing makes photos look worse and unrealistic.
Right after that comes the issue of **dullness in photos**. Across different lighting conditions, images lack vibrancy. Colors feel washed out, contrast is weak, and the final output just doesnât have the life it used to. Itâs not that the camera canât capture good shotsâthe software is simply not doing justice to the hardware.
Based on user feedback, NOS 4.0 didnât address these core problems. The same dull and inconsistent image processing remained, which was disappointing for many who expected a proper fix.
With NOS 4.1, there is at least one improvement: **camera app performance**. The lag when switching between lenses has been fixed, making the app feel smoother and more responsive. Thatâs a step in the right direction.
However, performance alone isnât enough.
* Low-light post-processing is still broken
* Photos still look dull and lack vibrancy
* Image quality issues remain unchanged
So while NOS 4.1 improves usability, it doesnât solve the most important problemâthe actual output of the camera.
At this point, the priorities are clear:
1. Fix low-light post-processing (most critical)
2. Restore natural colors and vibrancy
3. Maintain and further improve camera app performance
The CMF Phone 2 Pro clearly has capable hardware, but right now itâs being held back by software that needs serious tuning.
Hopefully, Nothing Technology takes this feedback seriously and delivers a proper update that finally fixes the c
amera where it matters most.
