'Update to Beta version' - Button Removal

Hi I’ve updated to stable nos 2.5.2, now i want to remove the ‘update to beta version’ option from settings, how can i do that?

Have you tried uninstalling the ‘Update to Beta verion’ app you had to install for the installation of the beta version?

Apps > All apps > Update to Beta version > Three dots in top right > Uninstall updates

Is anyone know how to delete “update to beta” app ? I still have it in “settings”, even after update too stable 3.0.

Also I want to say, I didn’t used beta version of OS because I was on other version of OS than was required to update to beta 3.0 🙂

Method with settings>apps>update to beta app> 3 dot menu on up right corner> uninstall updates - doesn’t work 🙂

KrzysztofS So far, the only thing that has helped is resetting the device completely. Unfortunately, Nothing hasn’t commented on this yet.

Delete the package com.nothing.OfflineOTAUpgradeApp using ADB or Shizuku.

On ADB, it should be pm uninstall --user 0 com.nothing.OfflineOTAUpgradeApp.

Quokka I did uninstall it with Canta through Shizuku it’s possible…

Digi16 Also you can disable it via the command provided by Quokka but the command should look like this: adb shell pm disable-user –user 0 com.nothing.OfflineOTAUpgradeApp

I was just assuming because I could delete all system apps before, that I could also delete this…

You can disable it via pm disable-user --user 0 com.nothing.OfflineOTAUpgradeApp, but I’m not sure if you can uninstall it…

Quokka thank you very much, i disabled it via Android Studio. I add instead your command “adb shell” command and it’s work 🙂

Nothing001 Hmmm… I installed Canta and tried uninstalling it, but I then checked in App Manager, and it just says “Stopped”, not “Uninstalled”…

I tried uninstalling another system app using Canta, and it seemed to actually uninstall it.

just go to settings- app- search beta update app click on three dots on top right corner then uninstall updates no need of anything else ist this simple how the hell users don’t know about it telling the commands and all of adb

Quokka I guess Nothing has given a permanent solution for deleting this app other than factory data reset your phone.i did a complete factory data and the this app update to beta is gone. So I suggest you can factory data the phone. Also these apps has unknown apps permission which cannot be disabled. Which made me think to do a factory data reset.

SamarthNP1 I’ve tried too and it display error Uninstalling Update to Beta version unsuccessful. Already report and still pending Nothing team to look on this issue.
