Nothing phone 2 - touch not working after screen turns off

Hey! I’m having a weird issue with my Phone(2) since October 6th.

When I click the power button to turn off the display - the touch might not work afterwards, even after I press the power button again! The immediate temporary solution to this is to click the power button to turn on the display, turn off the display again, and wait untill the AOD screen fades out, flickers, and then try to turn on the screen again. Repeat until touch is working.

Another solution I found is to put the phone in the freezer for 2 minutes, which always works on the first try for some reason.

Anyone else having this issue? I really want to avoid sending the phone to the service provider here in Israel, I’ve had a really bad experience with them with the Phone(1).

If there is a hardware issue, contacting the service center is inevitable.

Daniel happened with both android 13, android 14 beta and android 14 stable.

The touch doesn’t work sometimes, and it’s very annoying. Only the power and volume buttons were working at that time. I can’t even restart my phone, so I wait for my battery to get drained. It’s been more than two years, and there are still so many bugs. I bought this phone because Carl Pei is the CEO, but I failed to make my decision.

Screen becomes completely unresponsive at times. Only volume and power button works. Too annoying. I had to wait till the battery drains out. This caused me a lot of difficulty .
