Is it just on my phone or on every phone 2, the double tap to lock the screen feature present in “home settings” is not working?
Like i double tap the screen and it locks the screen only after 5 seconds. If i tap on the screen soon after i double tapped, i come back to the same screen! What weird bug is this? I think i have noticed this post the 2.5.2 update.
If anyone has a workaround for this, please let me know.
Hello, I use Nothing phone. double tap lock and single tap screen wake are default. I am attaching a screen recording, that it is working fine on latest update. I request you to try resetting the phone which may solve the problem.
Incase resetting doesn’t rectify the problem, try removing the screen protector and try.
In case removing screen protector also doesn’t solve the problem, go to settings –> System–> Feedback.
Raise your concern and attach the required media(record your screen, pls enable taps).

The expected behaviour of locking the phone by double tapping on an empty area on the home screen is not working is what I meant to say. Now that I think about it, I don’t think I noticed it post the recent update. It was always working like the way I mentioned. You can double tap on the home screen to turn off the screen instantly but you have to wait for 5 seconds for the phone to lock and that is too weird.
I did take a screen recording with the ‘show taps’ feature enabled. I would be submitting feedback but I wanted to know if anyone would happen to know any workarounds for this.

Do you by any chance have animations disabled? Also. When you say the screen doesn’t lock, do you mean it goes black, but the top of the screen is still visible, or the whole screen doesn’t lock and stays awake?
