Not usefulIt’s not useful, it could be improved.
Set any two apps as two screens, for example. Imagine you exit the application below and act independently.
Leave the split screen at the top embedded there.
That’s why I created this seemingly absurd design. So, to draw attention to this…
In fact, it already has a pop-up view
Because everyone will say that something like this already exists.
Let’s imagine what an essential touchpad would look like 🙂
Esential DYNAMIC Touchpad
Hybrid Panel Structure (E-Ink & Micro-LED Combo)
The rear surface utilizes a zero-power monochrome E-Ink layer for static, always-on interfaces (such as DJ mode buttons and mouse axis lines). For dynamic notifications, vibrant light effects, and instantaneous responses, high-resolution Micro-LED pixels integrated beneath this layer seamlessly kick into action.
Advanced Capacitive Matrix (Ultra-Low Latency)
Positioned right below the topmost glass layer, the touch sensor network operates with a sub-1ms response time. This ensures a latency-free experience during DJ performances, while transforming into a high-precision (high-DPI) mouse trackpad when connected to a computer.
Matte Frosted Sapphire Glass Coating
The touch surface is protected by sapphire glass treated with a special matte finish that prevents fingerprints and reduces glare. This coating provides both an ultra-smooth gliding sensation and gives the underlying E-Ink layer an authentic “paper/metal” texture.
Smart Power Management (Always-On Dynamic)
When the phone is flipped face down or placed on a table, only the E-Ink layer remains active. Battery consumption sits at a solid 0 Watts while displaying static graphics; micro-level power is drawn only when your finger touches the surface or when switching modes.
Pressure Sensitivity (Force Touch)
The surface registers not just proximity, but the exact amount of pressure applied. In games, you can aim with a gentle touch and fire by pressing harder, perfectly simulating L2/R2 trigger buttons.
