mupparapu_pramodkumar Man, that really sucks. Dealing with battery degradation that early must be frustrating.
But looking at the math again, even if you caught the Ear (2) on sale for ₹7,499, the upgrade deal wasn’t completely terrible. If you had sold your Ear (1) for ₹1,000 and bought the Ear (2) on sale, you would’ve spent around ₹6,500 out of pocket. Since you only paid ₹4,000 for the upgrade, you still have a ₹2,500 buffer left over compared to that sale-price budget.
It might be worth asking support what the out-of-warranty cost is just to replace that single left bud. Since you saved some cash initially, paying a smaller fee for one replacement bud might still keep you right around what you would’ve originally spent anyway.
If the service cost turns out to be way too high, you could always just grab a cheap pair of temporary earphones for now. Then, once the next generation drops, you can use another upgrade program to trade these in and move forward.
It completely blows, but these trade-in offers almost always have a catch. It’s definitely a lesson for the future to spend five minutes skimming the terms and conditions before hitting buy so you don’t get burned later. Hopefully, support can hook you up with a decent price for that single bud!
