It’s good to see that performance is 18% more powerful than Phone (1) and 16% more efficient in terms of battery consumption compared to Phone (1).
Since SOC is from MediaTek, I hope price also will be low when compared to Phone (1)

im curious. does the nothing phone 1 have the Smart Clean Technology?
This is exciting! Loved seeing Raymond in the video giving us all the technical details
The Smart Clean feature intrigued me, will we potentially get this in the NothingOS in general? For all phones to be specifc
Can’t wait to pre order
Also thanks to team nothing for sharing tech details in a brief
Raymond in this video was great. Would love to see more features with him. Explains things so well! Nice to see some more of the device being revealed.
hexagonal707x They Might Go with 8+ Gen 2 Or Gen 3
The excitement is real just 2 weeks now..
Rob Hey, Rob. Thanks for mentioning the processor in a post.
Regarding the chip, I AM a bit skeptical about the fact that they are generally slower than most Snapdragon chips. I mean, it was precise how it is faster than its Snapdragon counterparts. But given that you chose the chip, I am not sure if it’s good for advanced tasks like gaming (since I play Genshin Impact on my phone (2)). And for anything else, is the Phone (2a) going to have AI based features?
Everyone has different needs as everyone can choose a different phone. It’s not a one size fits all. NP2A is not a good option for you but it’s perfect option for me. I am happy with the choice of Mediatek processor because of it’s battery efficiency. You like gaming on your phone so you will choose something with SP8GX and I more of a daily users on a budget so I will be pretty satisfied with Dimensity 7200 Pro.
I chose the NP1 because it already has LineageOS support, so I will most likely still get community updates, even when official ROMs are not released anymore. MediaTek is notoriously difficult to work with in the open source community, so it seems like a bad choice for a phone. I’ll probably pass.
“20GB RAM thanks to the new RAM Booster technology”
That sounds like a technology like zRAM, which compresses the data in memory so you effectively have more RAM, but it costs CPU power and battery life.
I wonder how much physical RAM the device will actually have.
Does the RAM Booster technology come with any potential drawbacks, such as reduced overall system stability?
Q. Does Nothing Phone 2 get Smart Clean Features in Future updates ?
Enjoyed the video and appreciate how raymond explained things. More such videos please.
March 5 is shaping up to be super exciting.
ParbezImruz good question
Smart clean is a cool feature, but I do have one concern regarding the processor. Mediatek’s image processing is historically crappy compared to snapdragon. Has this been changed with the co developed processor?
I’m thinking the 2a will be my first Nothing Phone & I can’t wait
