As a dedicated Nothing Phone 3 user, my primary focus is on addressing specific camera issues with targeted solutions to elevate the device to professional-grade standards. To resolve the lack of cinematic depth in recordings, a dedicated portrait video mode must be added; to fix poor edge detection in zoomed portraits, the periscope camera requires significantly improved depth mapping algorithms; to combat image softness in secondary lenses, detailed sharpening needs to be applied to both the telephoto and ultra-wide sensors; and to solve the lack of creative control for creators, a Pro video mode with manual adjustments is essential. Beyond the camera, while Nothing OS offers an exceptional user interface, adding granular size and color adjustments for the clock would resolve current customization limits. Additionally, the software experience needs enhancement by expanding the Essential Key to trigger a wider array of functions and by natively integrating AI tools like an object eraser and a collage maker into the gallery to solve the reliance on third-party editing apps. Finally, and most critically for device longevity, Nothing must solve the threat to developer freedom by unequivocally committing to keeping the bootloader unlockable for the entire lifespan of the phone; prematurely closing this capability would alienate the enthusiast community and destroy the phone’s potential for custom ROMs, camera modifications, and advanced software exploration.
