It’s been incredibly insightful reading the ideas and opinions many of you have already shared here in the forums. We know we have a passionate community eagerly awaiting our first product. Some of you are asking about when ear (1) will be announced and so I wanted to take this opportunity to share our progress.

A month ago we announced that our first product ear (1) would be unveiled in June. We’re very near the finish line and there are a few things left to finalize, so today we’re updating everyone that ear (1) will now be coming a bit later this summer. Our hope is that you’ll be just as excited to see it as we are to share it with all of you. Thank you for your patience and I can’t wait to hear feedback from you all on ear (1)!

    Thank you for your communication during this process. We’re excited to see ear (1) and everything that follows. I know sometimes that excitement might sometimes translate as impatience, but I know I personally respect a product done well, rather than a product released soonest.

      Hello Carl,

      thank you for the update about the release window. Personally, I do prefer to wait a little bit longer for a finished product than to buy something that feels rushed to the market since the first impression.

      I can only imagine how hard it is to launch any product, let alone the first one. Honestly, I have to commend the way Nothing is dealing with this, not letting a launch period linger ad aeternum.

      And “later this Summer” doesn’t sound too bad. Earphones are usually associated with a purchase to go out during Spring and Summer, but this Summer is still under the special-circumstances-umbrella.

      All the best luck for the last push, I cannot wait to try them, whenever the Ear 1 are ready to arrive.

        I’m slightly divided by the news. My ears are a little sad having to wait longer for the Ear (1), but this way they will arrive closer to my birthday. 🥳

        Jokes aside, I appreciate the information and transparency. It builds trust and as @Cheetosdust mentioned, I believe it’s better to launch a finished-to-perfection product rather than a rushed product to match a number in the calendar.

        Wishing all the Nothing team a safe journey until the Ear (1) finally sees the light of day.

        Doing that launch now with an unpolished product, just to respect the predefined date, would obviously be suicidal. It’s your first product and it will showcase the message you want to send to the world about your products, and there is nothing worse than sending the wrong first message. Many new companies have failed like that and never had a chance to emend the errors of their first try with a second product.

        Take your time, and make sure that the final product is something that is loyal to the nothing ideals and that truly helps spread the message you want to send to the world.

        Like Einstein said, “Time is relative”, so make sure you guys use it wisely. 😆

          Thank you for the update on ear (1)! I’m sure it’ll be worth the wait. Good things do need time and I’m sure the users will be more happy with a finished, than a rushed product! All the best to the team, continuing to finish up the product until it launches!

            That’s totally fair! Let’s carry on the highest care for the product first, that’s all that matters in this early stage. That’s how Nothing is going to show itself to the world 🙂

            I’m really looking forward to the headphones with the good price of € 99. I hope the availability will be sufficient. I also want good audio quality😉
