Hi

I have a 2016r. Skoda Rapid with the Amundsen multimedia system.

I have a problem with importing contacts to the radio. The connection is established, the hands-free calls works, text messages work, the call log is shown but the contacts are not displayed.

I checked the contact synchronization switch in the Bluetooth settings - unfortunately it does not help. I restored Amundsen to factory settings and it didn’t help either. I haven’t had this problem with any other phone.
Oneplus 10 Pro, Oneplus 8T, Xiaomi Mi6, Motorola Edge 20 lite - Contacts is displayed but not with Nothing Phone (2) 🙁

Has anyone encountered such a problem or know how to solve it?

    I contacted Nothing support. They told me to send bluetooth logs and said that these contacts go out via Bluetooth, but it will be a problem of the Skoda system, not theirs… This is funny..

    Best of all, I looked at my friend’s Skoda Superb and there is a Columbus multimedia system and these contacts are still visible.

    The problem is probably in Amundsen?

            Sure. The problem cannot be with Nothing. Just ask Nothing.

            For me - the problem is with Lexus as seeing all contacts as unknown cannot possibly be with Nothing. No, did not ask Nothing, they only answer - sorry for the inconvenience, rest assured we will look into the problem.

            Samsung my wife has is functioning OK with Lexus.

                In other posts, the problem appears since a14 update, in a13 works perfectly for some users….and the problem only appears whith np2….

                  Or maybe you were using Android 13 and contacts worked then?

                  Is it actually Android 14’s fault?

                  I regret that I updated to Android 14 immediately after buying the phone. Then I would see if contact import works well on Android 13.

                        It is a 100% not nothing faults… 3 cars in my close my families, 3 different brand and no problem syncing contact via Bluetooth. Contact your dealer and see if there is an update available for your infotainment system 😉
                        Most of the time those systems are already outdated when they come out of the dealer…

                          With all the knowledge you have concerning the phones, do you know anything about why Nothing is being done with the camera problems? Resolution is terrible, fine details are not registered meaning that a tree without leaves has few of the small branches shown as clear as in my close to 20 old Sony camera. The colour problem is easy to handle with good software in computer (I use Affinity instead of Photoshop that is too expensive and does the same but in different ways) so that is to live with but that even my little ones iPhone from 2014 has more and clearer details than the rather new and not that cheap Nothing 2, is close to a - no new phone from Nothing attitude.

                                        Camera problems are not commented by anywhere from Nothing as Nothing is wrong with cameras according to Nothing.

                                          I’m having this issue too (2018 SEAT). It went from having 2 of every contact to none.

                                            No fix as of yet, I’m on 2.5.2 and facing it still. Just bought the phone recently and I’m afraid I’m gonna have to sell it sooner than I thought.

                                            On my side the problem is much more severe since I am literally unable to make calls through my VW’s audio. The other party is able to hear me for 5-10 seconds and then it’s just dead silence. If i switch to earpiece and then back to car audio, I can speak for another 5-10 seconds. Tested in two VAG cars already (VW/Skoda), same on both of them. Factory reset did not help.

                                            This is utterly ridiculous.
