Still hasn’t been fixed with 2.5.3, phone was an absolute waste of money, won’t be touching any more Nothing products in the future.
Import contacts to the car - problem

Just bought a Nothing phone 2 and connected to my VW Tiguan and same problem, at least calls work but no way the contacts are imported to the car. I still can return the phone, should I?

I see posts for the contacts problem in car since December last year, I think I have my answer… 
Just in case I’ve sent Comments through the phone. Everybody should do it so they are aware that it affects many people

Exactly.. Not working for now.. 
Someone said in another thread that 2.5.5 fixed it for him but without any details. It is not fixed for me neither.
I tried playing with the contacts in the phone, changing from Gmail to phone contacts and adding numbers there but without success. I don’t know what else to try…

I have the same problem. Contacts do not synchronize with my 2015 Passat and Discover Media radio…

Same here, with a Seat Ibiza 2016. I firstly synced contacts on a previous version, then upgraded and my car kept the old synced contacts. Then, when I needed to reset car’s bluetooth, the sync restarted but hangs forever. Very annoying issue

They will not fix it, in fact, it gets even better, pic rel after latest update: 
Even though I’ve got full reception, car claims that there’s no operator.
Good going Nothing, keep it that way. Maybe add some further AI integrations and don’t bother about some basic functionalities missing.

Kondedinamarca That is ridiculous indeed, it’s been months, multiple tickets raised and they just don’t give a damn. I like the phone overall, but this, as much as Nothing’s attitude, makes me wanna flush it down the toilet. I consider it a complete lack of respect towards customer.

I have a ticket ongoing with Nothing, they said to wait for the next update, then an update arrived (2.6) but for now, issue is still there. Maybe next is the good one…

They’re asking me to repeat the same tests and gather the same logs but with the new firmware, I had no time yet to do the tests and they closed the ticket (few days passed). I will reopen the ticket and keep going, hoping it leads to something. I’m also linking this thread to the support again, maybe they’ll think about replying here, too.

After installation NOS 3.0 Open Beta 1 for Phone 2, contact synchronization started working again!!!

I’ve just took my NP2 out of the drawer hoping to install the beta and check out the new features. Trying to install 2.6 build 1700 yet again I was faced with Nothing’s quality - “Couldn’t update. Installation problem” Offline update tool giving me: DOWNLOAD_STATE_INITIALIZATION_ERROR/20. Factory reset did not help.
Can Nothing support comment on that? How an average user can use and keep their phone up to date if its software is of so poor quality? It’s good that I spotted it, so I could reflash it from scratch saving its next owner having to RMA it as that’s what Nothing would probably ask for (I’ve read a lot about this thing happening to ordinary users who never rooted their phone).
I am so happy that I’ve switched to Pixel, never gonna buy anything from Nothing again.
