Lucent Capsule - Experimental Project...

Before anything else, please, don’t be too harsh with criticism. I started working on this app along with Chat GPT and android studio. Basically I wanted to see how a Nothing styled “dynamic island” would look. So there are some tweaks to be done in terms of animations. I want to have a dot wave in the multimedia bar that reacts to the sound of the media playing. Also the layout needs to be adjusted. I still need to work on the permissions so that the app can block system notifications so that they don’t overlap with the capsule. It supports light and dark mode. I tried to make it look like the upcoming lucent theme in OS 5, but I don’t have access to the beta 🥲 I can try to privately share APKs with people interested in the project and are willing to provide suggestions and ideas

Kairav

JochieSantiago sure np bro take ur time then. Can’t wait for tomorrow 😃

Satyam

So will you provide an apk for this tomorrow?

Kairav

Satyam yep he said by tomorrow. So let’s sleep and wait 😃

Satyam

Kairav ok bruh! Super excited 😪💤

Kairav

Satyam nah my sleep is gone after he said he will give the apk today !

Satyam

Yeahh to be honest, I have been exploring for a smart edge on playstore for a while. I did found an app named 1Edge. It’s UI is simple and similar with my requirements, but the concept proposed by this man is exceptionally well especially the quick reply mode and the glass theme with small opening. So super excited to use this concept.

WanderingTrader

JochieSantiago Yo great initiative. I’ve thinking about a similar concept from a few days. I’ve a genuinely good consept that’s not similar to dynamic island but it’ll be similar excellent Life task space and will be unusually suited with Nothing and it’s possible future on-device AI related tasks. So we’re can I share you the whole idea ?

JochieSantiago

WanderingTrader send me a private message

JochieSantiago I really like that it’s really cool I like the colors they’re pleasant to look at.

Kairav

JochieSantiago Man i thought u asked to send a private message for apk. Mb bro 😭. I saw now that u asked wandering trader to message. MY SUGGESTION: I got a suggestion too. Try to make that lucent notification the default notification rather than that Android notification also pooping up on screen when we get noti. It make the Android notification disable and the lucent notification works! I would really love it if u manage to do that.

We know u can do it without credits ! Waiting for the results 🙂

And for app having 0.99 cents pro version? I will buy the pro version with no issues! If u would love to give me apk in which we have to pay for pro version!

Or else, I can wait for you to implement the liquid lucent glass animation in normal Base version of app to! It completely depends on you. If u want am ready to pay 0.99 cents for pro version of the app!

This is the issue I’m having with the glass theme. When the capsule moves, the effect is perfect.

When everything under the capsule moves, rendering the background in the capsule takes a few seconds more than the movement itself. Even if it’s in the small capsule mode, the animation under it lags even with the animation of expanding and reacting the capsule.

Kairav

@JochieSantiago Oh. Ask chat gpt to fix it’s background frames. Ask something like that. It might tell you. it’s just the background frames dropping and not able to render properly on time. Ask chat gpt to fix the background frames drops and rendering issues

JochieSantiago

Kairav chat gpt has been helping me with this. And we tried various codes from GitHub and other places but the lagging issue still persists.

Perplexity gave me some new codes that chatgpt said could help. So I’ll try to test those out today

Kairav

JochieSantiago yes sure. Take ur time. I hope today we get the apk 😉

Satyam

I have an idea, you may provide us the demo apk today and later you can give updates on your further enhancements made from your side! It’ll also help you in a way that we might also give feedbacks and the changes required in the version!

-Regards

Kairav

Satyam that’s what I asked him for. Like provide us a demo apk and we can experience it and tell you what u can add or do more things! Community help!

Satyam

Kairav I’m not sure about when he’s providing it. And now he’s not even replying! Huh can’t expect a shattered expectation.

Kairav

Satyam he will give it. Just wait for sometime. Am here waiting too patiently every day

Satyam

Waiting…

JochieSantiago

I’m still trying to work on getting the liquid glass theme working. If you want a stable APK, it will not be included in it.

Also, I only work on it for a few hours every day, so it’ll take a while.
