Before anything else, please, don’t be too harsh with criticism. I started working on this app along with Chat GPT and android studio. Basically I wanted to see how a Nothing styled “dynamic island” would look. So there are some tweaks to be done in terms of animations. I want to have a dot wave in the multimedia bar that reacts to the sound of the media playing. Also the layout needs to be adjusted. I still need to work on the permissions so that the app can block system notifications so that they don’t overlap with the capsule. It supports light and dark mode. I tried to make it look like the upcoming lucent theme in OS 5, but I don’t have access to the beta 🥲 I can try to privately share APKs with people interested in the project and are willing to provide suggestions and ideas

Satyam not the full control panel will be replaced. Main motive is to give music player something new if possible and some translucent polish to the control panel which is impossible but I will still try to.

Kairav got it. But from the concept video, it looks like the existing Nothing OS 5.0 Control Centre is being significantly redesigned rather than just getting a Lucent/translucent polish.

Personally, I feel the current Control Centre already has a strong Nothing identity, so I’d prefer keeping its core design and focusing your project on adding something new—especially the music-player experience.

But this is just my personal preference, not criticism of your approach. I really appreciate the experimentation and effort you’re putting into it. 🔥

It was of the app with control centre also planned in mind but kinda changed it. Due to android restriction and more! But will try to add translucent effect to the buttons in control centre if possible and make the custom music player. Which can be possible.

For Apk currently working and it’s alrdy mid night and am awake till 1:30 Am then I will sleep as I finally got free today from some work and stuff. So yea test apk by tomorrow then.

Satyam nuh uh. Not only that. Will be adding more specially translucent effect footer inside 1st party and 3rd party Apps like Instagram, YouTube, WhatsApp and more! Just wait 🙂

Battery consumption will be kept in mind while making this so don’t worry. Will be adding in-built battery monitor. Which shows how much the app is using the battery of the phone while making its services work in background.

One general question, on what system you are making this project, like it’s pc kr the phone itself and which software or any app?

Satyam using Android studio on my pc. Inside the Android studio there is an emulator option. Using that emulator as Pixel phone to test my app on it. Then I will try it on my phone by making its apk. Also mentioned above that I don’t wanna risk for my phone for testing of these raw apk’s 🙂

Kairav looks really awesome! But i agree with @Satyam on how there really isnt much to change the control center in the OS. And even android studio doesnt offer the tools to do so unless you build your own Launcher

JochieSantiago yep I decided not to go with control centre now but it definitely needs a new music card over there and on lock screen.

Kairav happened to me with my project. I thought of adding a capsule in the bottom of the lockscreen like samsung, but then the OS has its own music player card, which would look weird

NEW CLOCK ADDED:
It adapts the Full Ndot Font and works Independently on it, full of animations and give’s a very uniqe feel inside the whole app.

Don’t worry about the Control Centre down there, It will be removed and other options will be added. App’s UI needs full re-design right now so we all can chill 🙂

Although I’m not really a fan of such things, it looks cool! Tbh I even was sceptical of transparency design, but looks like Nothing will do it aesthetically pleasant, because that really matches their philosophy and design.

Why isnt that control panel thing in its own post?

I keep getting updates about this thread and instead of the capsule update Im hoping for, its someone whose hijacked this thread for his own completely seperate project.
