Kairav Kairav, first of all, I genuinely appreciate the effort you’re putting into this project. Taking the initiative to experiment with the UI, explore what Android allows, and actually build something of your own is a great step forward. I really like the fact that you’re trying to innovate and bring your own ideas into the Nothing ecosystem. 👏
And please don’t take this as a negative reply, Kairav, or think that I didn’t like your approach or the work you’ve done. I actually really like the innovation behind it. I’m only sharing a personal opinion about the direction in which I think your project could become even more interesting.
Personally, I feel there isn’t much need to replace or recreate the Nothing Control Centre. It’s already a very important part of Nothing’s identity and design language. Especially with Nothing OS 5.0, the new Control Centre already feels polished, fluid, and very well integrated into the overall OS experience. Replacing it would mainly mean creating another version of something that Nothing has already established.
Instead, Kairav, I’d love to see you use this project to introduce something that doesn’t already exist in Nothing OS—a completely new interaction, utility, or concept that works alongside the existing Control Centre rather than replacing it. That could make your project feel even more unique and innovative.
Think of it as adding something new to the Nothing experience rather than changing something that already represents Nothing’s identity. The existing Control Centre can remain as it is, while your project can bring an entirely new layer of functionality on top of it.
Again, please don’t take this as criticism, opposition, or me saying that your work isn’t good. Quite the opposite—I genuinely like what you’re building, and I think the effort and creativity deserve appreciation. This is simply my personal perspective on how you could take an already interesting idea and push it into something even more original.
Keep experimenting, Kairav. I’m genuinely looking forward to seeing where you take this. 🔥
