Nothing OS 5.0 General Release is now rolling out to Phone (3). This is the full Nothing OS 5.0 experience, including the redesigned Launcher, Micrographics clock face, refreshed design system, deeper personalisation, smoother performance, improved Essential AI tools and the best of Android 17. Thank you to everyone who joined the Open Beta and shared feedback with us! Your input helped us refine the experience ahead of general release. ⚙️ To update, go to Settings > System > System update. Nothing phone 3 suddenly switch off and not turn on after 5.0 update. What happened.

I updated Nothing OS 5.0 3 days ago (11 - Oct - 2026).

Today 14-Oct-2026 at 06:00pm it suddenly switched off while i was in a phone call. After that it not turn on

I tried turn on multiple times but it shows nothing logo and label and get turn off.

Recovery mode tried but shows no command.

Very disappointing. Why are you release these kind of release and play with us

i don’t know but the new signal status bar icon is bugging me, why it is look like exclamation mark, does anyone feel this annoying as well?

I don’t seem to be liking anything to be honest.

Fonts looks smaller

Notification fonts looks different and bolder

Added animation is only making things look slow

Signal animation is yuck

Two steps to enable mobile data

Overall, it’s a downgrade for me.

You can speed them up in developer options, set 0.5x speed and it will be fairly snappy (although I wouldn’t be surprised if they are intentionally designed to be that slow, so frame skipping with faster speed… like trash Windows 11 for example).

RichardAngga do you have 2 sims? tipically it only looks like this if you have 2 sims, top part is 1 sim and bottom is 2nd sim card.

Guys, please stop asking when will a certain phone get the beta update. We have published a timeline. Mid October is any day now. I understand you are excited to test the new software but please have a bit more patience.

I’m watching YouTube reviews of Nothing OS 5.0, and I feel the Lucid, translucent theme should be applied to all app icons, not just system apps.

Hi Nothing Team, I’m facing a Wi-Fi bug on my Nothing Phone (3). When I turn Wi-Fi off using Quick Settings, the Wi-Fi status appears inconsistent between the Quick Settings tile and the Internet panel. Please investigate this issue and fix it in an upcoming Nothing OS upda

Arckol I was having this issue and fixed it by doing the following:

After enabling quick look, open Weather and make sure you turn on location.

As for the upcoming tasks, they are events on Calendar, if you’re using a shared calendar it won’t work. Also, the event has to have a defined time.

If you use Essential Space you have to select “convert to event”

Unfortunately this is intended - its like iOS now, tapping the WiFi icon simply disconnects it.
