i ended up in same situation but Nothing support team are for rescue…..

i had to tarvel to North America on a office work….unfortunaly my phone 2a was delivered on the day of my travel..

i didnt get a chance to open the phone and set it up…later realized that i need to activate phone with an Indian Only SIM for first time…which i am not aware off….

But i have reached the Nothing support for help and explaine dmy situation and they were quick to unlock my phone and unable to use teh temporary SIM here…it was great and faster support…kudo’s to the support team.

But the issue here is the phone should not be locked in first place for a region specific activation….why? as in INDIA there is no carrier contracts in place and any phone sold in INDIA is a unlocked/SIM free phones… i dont really understand why Team Nothing are doing this ?????? Choice needs to be with customers right???

Hope Nothing works on this in future updates and Set its users free of such hassles…..

Note: Even its unlocked, remember by an chance in future you reset your device to factory settings…and out of INDIA still you need to reach back to support to unlock it again

Hi, I read all the above conversation regarding the NP(2a) and had even read about NP2 before this.

For factory reset on a NP2, indian sim (local, non roaming) is required.

I recently bought NP(2a) from India and my question is,

If I reset my NP(2a) in Germany is the guidelines mentioned above for NP2 applicable to NP(2a).

I bought phone2a in India. But I will be moving to japan. Will I be able to use this phone in japan with a japanese sim card. I checked before buying that this phone has 5G n77 and n78 which is used by most network providers in japan. But then when I turned on the phone for the first time it said “enter a INDIA sim”.

Hi. I bought my first Nothing 2a in Goa, India last week and thought I’d set it up when I had time on my vacation to Canada. Surprise!! When I started it up, it insisted I insert an Indian sim to procede. I inserted my Airtel Indian sim, but it would not recognize that (as I am on roaming?). There is no skip option. Am I stuck until I return to India? Is there no work around? Help! -Clinton..

hii, i purchased Nothing phone(2a) from india and activated with an indian sim card. now i am in italy for my studies. unfortunaitly i reset the phone(2a). now it is not activating. can i do something for activate the again by staying in italy?
