Calendar storage keeps stopping

Device: Phone 2

Phone technical Info:

256GB, 12 GB

Nothing OS 2.5.2 (although the issue I’m highlighting existed before the update to Android 14 too)

Developer Settings ON and animations reduced from 1x to 0.5x

Purchased on Jan 1, 2024

I have scoured the depths of google but haven’t found a fix for this. Since the day I bought my phone, there has been an issue with a system app called Calendar Storage wherein it crashes every few mins. Screenshots:

When I kill the app basically it kills Google Calendar’s sync with all apps making calendar integration non-existent.

Yesterday, I finally took the plunge and factory reset my phone. The problem still remains. At this moment, I’m ready to try voodoo magic to fix this.

So can somebody please help?

Do back-up your all the data and Factory Reset ( ERASE ALL THE DATA )

motumus after resetting don’t add the same G account First which is linked by calendar, Try an alternative Google account to setup a phone with fresh account, after all the setup of basic settings, go and add the account which you use … because i was facing the same issue with my Notes app , i tried this way to resolve this issue. Thankyou

So I found what’s causing it. It’s the Nothing Widgets’ access to the calendar. I removed the permission and no more crashes.

Is someone at Nothing taking a note?

I’m happy to to recreate it and share any logs that will help the Nothing team to fix this bug.

Bumping this with the temporary solution:

Settings>Apps>See All Apps>Select “Show system” from the 3 vertical dots menu in the top right corner>Calendar Storage>Permissions>Calendar>See all apps with this permission

You should see Nothing Widgets in the list here. Remove it

Also disable calendar in Glyph Progress

The Nothing Team should take a page out of OnePlus’ book and actually participate in these discussions. The lack of response is absolutely disappointing

Hello! So I have disabled calender access in nothing widgets from apps and it works, not more pop ups. Thanks!

I have the Nothing 2 phone running the latest software. I migrated my calendar across from my previous Android device and now I get the occasional message saying “Calendar storage keeps stopping”.

I don’t seem to be able to stop this despite changing several of the calendar settings.

Advice gratefully received
