Pranshu i have mentioned that nothing support team are also pathetic they ask to reset in any case otherwise they ask to visit service centre these 2 answers they’ve got…i used to love nothing team yet yesterday but not anymore…

User_sAXQvzkCC6 It’s already two updates behind.

That’s not…how it works. There is no ‘universal update’ to be applied to all Nothing Phones. Each one has its context and its corresponding update. Just because one has 2.5.4 does not mean that this is the same update that the Phone (2) should receive.

In the case of the Phone (2a), it is a recently launched product with room for optimization, and new Nothing Phones usually receive 3-4 updates during the first 2 months after launch, so it’s currently on it’s own version (2.5.4) . It is even likely that it will get another update in the next month.

In the case of the Phone (1), it got 2.5.3 shortly after receiving Android 14 because this update (2.5.2) needed fixes for some issues.

When the Phone (2) gets its next update, it could be called 2.5.3, and that won’t mean that it is behind the Phone (2a), or it could be called 2.5.6 and that won’t mean that the other models are two or three updates behind.

TejasMaisuriya Because there are a few words that violated community guidelines, bro, they scrutinize everything. Just be patient; they can’t provide details because everything falls under different category departments.

Whatever you post about Phone 2 not getting updates is removed I wonder why!! If we are not getting updates just be transparent with us.. if the Phone2 isn’t getting updates no more it’s fine but at least be real and say it … removing post about Phone2 not getting updates won’t stop us from posting every now and then!! and am sure this community knows nothing about updates!!

[deleted] if the Phone2 isn’t getting updates no more it’s fine but at least be real and say it …

First of all it’s not fine.

And second thing is that -

“We’re committed to making beautiful products that you feel proud to own.

To sustain our efforts, we’ll continue to offer 3 years of Android updates and 4 years of security updates. So Phone (2) can go further with you.”

This is from Nothing’s ‘X’ handle, since they gave us the promise they will keep it.

[deleted] I believe it’s the Moderators that remove these posts asking about updates, not anyone form Nothing official staff. As it is on any community forum, asking about updates is against those forums’ rules. It is the most asked question on any forum, but also the most unanswered one, as typically nobody on those forums has any information about update releases. Companies never share exact dates for updates with their users. But I will say, if an update has a problem and is delayed, they should inform the users about it. This will go a long way and communication is key in my opinion.

Merged 4 posts from The truth about PHONE2.

Guys, don’t blame moderators for anything; they are just doing their job. All the departments operate independently.

I read a few people talking about marketing and everything, but that’s not how a company operates. Moderators can only report to the Community Board Advisors (CBO), whose role is to address and find solutions for the issues.

Moderator roles are only to ensure Community guidelines, managing & merging of contents , providing support while engaging in conversation to make forum alive , facilitating discipline to ensure the conversation stay on topic and resolving disputes….

But yes i do agree moderators should actively engage with the audience, addressing concerns and providing solutions when needed.
Their role is crucial in maintaining a positive and constructive atmosphere within the community.

Therefore, it’s essential for moderators to possess the skills necessary to effectively manage and resolve issues that arise, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience for all participants…… hope they should learn this while in there training period.

PSYCHO Yup, I agree. They don’t even need to actively engage and provide solutions, that’s technically not part of their task list, but would be welcomed of course. Moderators get the blame on every community forum, and yet they are only doing their “job”. Voluntary even.

I am guessing we can get update tomorrow?
          JUST GUESSING!

As tomorrow is Holi, like how did they provide all users in Christmas

          JUST A Guess

Pranshu I am hoping for same that’s why I am not asking or writing anything in this forum for last 2-3 days. let’s seeee
